Jacques and Chérie
The Frog Prince Retold
The three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna had two babies to visit and bless with gifts, Jacques and Dominique.
As you may or may not know, Ana and Belinda give to all princesses the gifts of beauty and grace and to each prince, the gifts of handsomeness and charm.
The wise fairy Kathléna looked down at the sleeping twins and said softly “Prince Jacque, I give you the gift of Discernment and Princess Dominique; I give you the gift of A soft heart”.
King Cooper and Queen Jacinta, thanked the fairies, gave them gifts, asked their advice on a few pressing matters involving the Kingdom of France and hugged them goodbye, wishing them a safe journey.
Jacques and Dominique, grew up to be very good friends, until they became teenagers. Dominique had become friends with Jacoba. Jacques could never quite decide why, but he just didn’t trust her.
He expressed his concern to his mother Queen Jacinta, who told him about his gift from the wise fairies and told him to trust himself and be careful.
It turned out that Jacques had good reason to be distrustful of Jacoba. As it turned out she was only friends with Dominique because she wanted to marry a prince. Prince Jacques was her target, to be precise.
Eventually Princess Dominique, realised that Jacoba was not a good friend for her to have. She set some healthy boundaries which annoyed Jacoba so she left. Dominique made new friends, who were not so manipulative and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
When Princes turn Twenty-one and one month, it is their mission to find a princess, rescue her and get married. Jacques and Dominique said goodbye and the prince went to rescue Princess Cariña of Spain.
However, when he reached the tower, he thought it strange that it was so easy to get passed the dragon guarding the gate. When he reached the princess, he said “Princess Cariña?”
“Oui”
That’s interesting, she should have said “Sí” thought the prince to himself, and he decided to test her. In Spanish he said “Are you sure you are the ugly princess Carina? “
“Sí”
“You are as beautiful as toad’s warts” he said, coming over to play with her hair.
“Gracias” she replied.
Prince Jacques pulled the hair, and the wig came off.
“Jacoba! I will never marry you!”
“He eh he he hi! I’ll turn you into a frog” she replied and as soon as she said “Frog”, she gave a wave of her magic wand the prince started shrinking and turning green.
“The only way you will turn back into a Prince again, is if a Princess kisses you... before another frog does that is. He eh he he hi”.
Prince Jacques hopped all around Europe, Asia and the Middle East looking for a princess to kiss him. But each time he got anywhere near a princess, the reaction was the same... she would scream and run away.
One month before his birthday he began to get very homesick, so he decided to go back to the castle in Paris. He thought of how much he would like to see his sister on their birthday, and he thought perhaps Dominique could persuade one of her friends to give him a kiss.
However, when he arrived at the castle, on his birthday, as he hopped past the gate, he heard a blood-curdling scream and saw two young princesses running away from him, screaming “Frog!” the cook came out (She was usually nice to Jacques and would make him eggs on toast every morning) she yelled at him;
“If you don’t leave my princesses alone, I’ll turn you into dinner”.
“She doesn’t recognise me” the dejected prince said to himself as he hopped out of the castle grounds.
“Well, no princess in Europe, Asia or the middle East is interested in helping me, perhaps I can go on a ship and try my luck elsewhere,” he thought as he hopped to Calais.
He sneaked on board a ship, called the De Colores, in someone’s lunchbox and then hid in some ropes, till the ship was well out to sea. He was pretty good at staying hidden, until the day it started to rain.
The frog part of him could not resist hopping out to dance and sing. He was so busy enjoying himself that he did not realise that he had an audience.
If Captain Joshua Glimmersword, was surprised to hear a frog aboard his ship singing in French, he was amazed to hear him change to Spanish, his own language.
When Jacques realised he had an audience, he started to croak. But Joshua tricked him into talking. He then asked him why he could talk and Jacques told him the whole story of Carina, Jacoba Piggy and his trip around Europe.
The Captain told Jacques that he was Princess Carina’s cousin and of how she had been rescued by Prince Carlos of England, last year and that due to a tragedy in his family, they had to leave the De Colores and take over his father’s rule in England. He also mentioned that they would arrive in New Caledonia in a few weeks and said perhaps he would have more luck there.
As the ship docked they thanked each other for the French and Portuguese lessons, they had given and received to pass the time and wished each other a safe Journey.
Green frogs don’t like sand much, it was hot and salty, but soon Jacques was hopping in the forest. He was so happy he started to sing again. As he was hopping along he noticed a lady who was sitting by a well crying, he recognised her as Princess Cherie, as she was one of Dominique's friends.
He hopped over to her and asked if she was ok. She was so distraught; it didn’t appear strange to her that she was talking to a frog.
She told him that she was upset as she dropped her ball in the well. She’d tried to get it out but the fishing net was too short and the tree branch could not grip the ball.
The ball was made of gold and it was a gift from her father, just before he died. She was sitting thinking of him when the ball slipped from her fingers into the well and now she was worried she would never see it again.
Jacques said “No problem, I can dive into the well and get it back for you”
“Really, you would do that for me?”
“Sure frogs love swimming”
“Thank-you what can I do in return?”
“Well, now that you ask, could you kiss me Princess Cherie, if I get the ball back for you?”
“Oui”
So the frog-prince took a huge breath and dove into the water. He picked up the ball and began to swim back to the surface.
The princess picked up the frog and the ball thanking him profusely, she planted a kiss on his cheek.
Prince Jacques started to feel himself change back into a man. When the metamorphosis was complete, he thanked Princess Cherie, who now recognised her friend’s brother, Prince Jacques.
Prince Jacques once again told the story of Jacoba and his adventure, as they walked back to her Grandmother’s place where Cherie and her mother were vacationing.
Prince Jacques, asked Cherie to be his wife. She had one condition; never eat insects again... she had 1000 pet butterflies.
They had two children, Jeremiah and Tamiah, who were always known to their friends as Miah and Mia. They were the second best swimmers in the world, their father being the best.

Carlos and Cariña
Those who are always complaining about their circumstances find that success continually eludes them. As do those who speak ill of others or who make excuses for their failures.
The three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna came to Spain, to bless Princess Carina. Of course she received the usual Beauty and Grace from Ana and Belinda, but the wise fairy Kathlena gave to her the gift of a beautiful singing voice. King Denver and Queen Makayla thanked the fairies, asking them to stay for dinner.
When Carina would sing; sick people would become well, sad people would be cheerful and angry people would become calm.
One day as Carina was walking in the gardens, Jacoba disguised as an old lady came up to her asking for help. She said that there was a sick unicorn who needed her help. Jacoba took her to a tower and locked the door. When Carina reached the top of the stairs, there was not a sick unicorn but a hungry blue dragon.
Blue dragons make the people around them sad, for reasons that the people themselves are not even sure of. When the person cries themself into a little ball, the dragon eats his dinner.
Carina knew that there were three ways to get rid of a dragon, salt, light and songs about Jesus. She began to feel sad, so she started singing. The dragon clasped his paws over his ears screaming “I don’t want to hear about Jesus” and flew out of the window. Carina kept singing, as she was now happy and rid of the dragon.
Carina tried to climb out of the window using her sheets as a rope ladder, but they only went half way down the tower and there were rocks and ocean water at the bottom. She decided not to risk a jump and went back into her room to work on another plan.
She was so busy working on new plans that she did not see the De Colores, a ship, sailing past. Joshua, one of the crew noticed the sheets on the window of the tower. He told the Captain, Carlos, who decided to take a closer look, with his binoculars. They noticed a girl inside the tower and decided to see if she needed help.
They lowered a small boat into the water and rowed to the rocks. Carlos rock-climbed to the window of the tower, with a rope ladder on his back. But when he jumped into the room, there was no one there.
“That’s funny,” he thought and began to take a look around. He checked the cupboard and under the bed. When he looked behind the duchess, there was a lady hiding. She asked him if he was going to rob her.
He laughed when he realised what the problem was. He told her his name was Captain Carlos, of the De Colores and that he only dresses like a pirate to tell other sailors about Jesus.
Still not sure if she could trust him the Princess said, “Then you would know my cousin, Joshua, can you take me to him”.
“Joshua Glimmersword?, He's the one who noticed you and is down waiting in the boat”
So they climbed down the tower, using the rope ladder. When safe in the boat, Carina and Joshua had a joyous reunion and she thanked the captain for rescuing her.
Carlos decided to see her safely home when they docked in Spain, and he made Joshua the new captain of the De Colores. While visiting with Carina’s family he received the news that his father was ill and he needed to go home.
Carina went with him, to sing to the king and his family, the king was old but he passed away happy and at peace, not only was Carina gifted with a beautiful voice, but she had consented to become the bride of Carlos, the new king of England.

Joshua and Helena
In the month of her birth, Princess Helena was visited by three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna, who gave to her the gifts of Beauty, Grace and a Sunny Disposition as her name means “Light”. Her parents, Beth and Samuel were thankful to the fairies, inviting them to stay for supper and giving them gifts.
When Helena was quite young her cousin, Leandros came to live with her family, when he was orphaned, but that's another story. Helena loved her cousin and looked up to him as a brother. She was concerned when Jacoba tried to marry him and he went off to join the pirates to avoid her.
Helena prayed for him every night and three years later, she received a letter from Leandros telling her that he was not a pirate anymore and he was working on the De Colores. She was thrilled reading of his adventures, fighting sea-serpents, dragons and telling other pirates about Jesus. Leandros wrote that he would be coming home soon and that his ship would be docking in Calais mid June. He was attending the wedding of Jacques and Cherie and couldn’t wait to see her.
Helena decided that she would surprise her cousin and meet him at the Marina before the wedding. Setting out a few days before King Samuel and Queen Beth, Helena had been travelling for 2 weeks. She was tired from travelling and so excited about her family reunion, that she didn't notice the log beside the road. Her horse, Timid, was scared (it was scared of the most random things) and it bolted and hurt himself on a sharp rock. Timid would be ok, but Helena couldn't ride him and she was nowhere near the place she was to stay for the night. But not to be deterred, she set out to look for somewhere closer to stay.
It was almost dark, and there were still no houses in sight when an old lady driving a buggy arrived beside her and offered her a lift. There was something about the lady's eyes that reminded her of Jacoba, so she refused the offer. Helena was right to be sceptical about accepting help from a stranger, though this lady was not a stranger, she was in fact Jacoba, who turned her into a kitten and put her into a wooden box.
Helena spent two days as a kitten, and Jacoba kept her in a box for most of that time. She didn't want any dragon-fighters or a "nosey" King and Queen rescuing Helena before she got to Calais. She had the perfect way to make Leandros marry her, that's if she failed to get Gabe to the alter.
Helena could see a man she recognised as Prince Gabe and Jacoba through a knot-hole in the wood. Jacoba was dressed in a beautiful green dress and long red hair it must be a wig thought Helena, she looks a lot like Domnique, I cannot let her fool this man.
Helena had been pretending to be asleep when Jacoba tried to feed her the chicken-liver, even as a cat, she hated chicken-liver. In her haste to get ready for Prince Gabe, Jacoba forgot to close the lid properly. Helena now began to climb to the top of the box and it tipped over. She was free!
Ouch! Jacoba cake her a sharp kick
The language which Jacoba and the prince were speaking was French, Helena didn't understand it, but she could tell by the tones that he was not fooled for long.
Suddenly, the wig was off. Jacoba was a pig and Helena could speak, but the prince didn't understand her. Prince Gabe picked her up and tied a rope around Jacoba-the pig's neck.
He gave Jacoba to a pig farmer and on his way from the farm; he started talking to another man, who started to pat her. When Gabe had gone, Helena decided to test her vocal chords once again, this time trying Portuguese first.
The man was surprised but he didn’t drop her. He told her later of a frog he met who could speak French, Spanish and English.
“How is it that you can speak?” he asked
Helena told him of being tricked by Jacoba Piggy and that the pig he saw, is Jacoba and how she became a pig.
“How can you be a princess again?”
“If a dragon-fighter in the King’s family gives me a kiss”
“I’m Joshua Glimmersword: King Denver's nephew, at your service”. Picking up his sword “This is Nasel, my dragon-fighting sabre, may I have the honour?”
“Sim”
The Captain lifted her paw and gave her a kiss and soon she was a lady again.
“Aubrigato Senor”
"That's Ok. Do you like Churissos?"
"Sim. Spanish or Portuguese?"
“Let's get both, and then I’m heading to Paris for a wedding, would you like to come as my date? Or can I drop you anywhere on the way?”
“Jacques and Cherie’s wedding?”
“Sim”
“That is where I am heading too”.
Deborah and Michael

Prince Michael, the younger twin of Gabe decided to marry a girl from his own kingdom. When he turned 21 and one month the search began. He had a dream of the girl he was looking for. Flowing red curls, freckles and a good shot at archery.

With the help of his Cousins, Anastasia and Alessandro, he began the "Dare to be a Princess" pagent.

Claudine (the mean) was the cousin of Deborah, and she was determined to have Prince Michael (any prince for that matter) for a husband. She had a secret; dragon's tears in a Black diamond bottle, collected by her grandfather, Claudio, and passed on to her. The dragons had managed to conceal from Claudine and her family that a yellow dragon had eaten Claudio shortly after he gave her the gift. Her parents, Melaney and Demetrius, continued to believe the myth of "Dragons are our friends, and fairies only want your money", in fact, they wrote a book about it "Save your money, and be happy". The dragons were planing to eat them soon but Claudine was convinced that her parents had taken a nice, refreshing vacation in Siberia.

Claudine and Deborah were cousins, their mothers were sisters. When her parents had set off to find Claudine's parents, they requested that Deborah stay with Claudine to make sure she was safe. The fairies had given to Deborah's family a soul-mirror; a mirror that reflects the character of the person looking at it. If a person were to gaze at it for more than 3 seconds, it alters their appearance to reflect their character. If you asked the mirror, it would tell you what to change to improve and how to develop your strengths.

Deborah was convinced that something was wrong with the soul-mirror, as it had given her freckles; though it brightened her eyes and curled her red flowing hair. When she asked it what she could change, it said that she needed to keep being honest and improve her dragon-fighting skills.

Claudine and Deborah always had pelenty of visitors to in the house, who would come early and stay late, in order to see Claudine who was always too busy having fun to help Deborah with the cleaning.

Their parents had been gone 7 months When Claudine announced that she planed to try out for the "Princess Pagent". She let it slip that she had a secret wepon... Dragon's tears.

Deborah was alrmed and told her that they may not be safe. Claudine replied that she'd been puting them in her orange juice every morning for years and all they did was improve her good looks.

Deborah decided that she had better go along to the castle in Athens to keep an eye on Claudine. Although she loved her cosusin, she realised that she would make a selfish princess and a terrible queen. Dressing as a boy, so Claudine wouldn't recognise her; she applied for a Security-Guard job at the pagent. She didn't need Claudine thinking that was after the prince.

During her time off, she would practise with her bow and arrow. She could hit the bullseye almost every time; near, far, still or moving; perfect every time.

The prince noticed her practising, and was glad to have such a capeable security guard. He decided to ask the guard to come on a dragon hunting quest later in the year, but for now his thoughts were upon the girl in his dreams and the Princess Pagent. He wondered if he'd find her.

Each time he would get close to the securuty-guard to ask if "he" wanted to practise with him, Deborah dissapeared.

The day before the pagent ended, Micheal noticed Deborah practising again, now was his chance to invite "him" on a Dragon Hunt. As he got closer, a puff of wind blew off Deborah's hat and the prince realised the security-guard was a girl. He picked up the hat and brought it to it's owner; he noticed her vivid green eyes and freckles, just like the girl in his dreams.

She thanked him for the hat, made an excuse and dissapeared. Micheael was left wondering how she got away so fast and why she was dressed as a boy. He followed her at a distance, to see where she would go and was surprised to see her going into one of the pagent contestant's dressing room.

Deborah had one chance, she slipped her Soul-Mirror into Claudine's handbag, and crept out of the room.

Claudine, quickly checked her appearance, in the big mirror “Beautiful” she said as she left her dressing room, grabing her handbag and drinking her last drops of dragon's tears, they sure were bitter without the juice and burnt on the way down.

When the prince bumped into Deborah again, she was dressed as a Security-Guard. He asked for her real name, and she told him it was Deborah. But Someone called him before he could ask her any more questions. However, before he went, he told her that she must change back into a dress and report to Anastasia pronto.

After a discussion with his cousins, Michael declared that he had one more test for the girls and the winner would become his bride.

"Well he can make me get into a dress and he can even command me to join the archery competition," thought a relieved Deborah as she finished her interview with Anastasia. "It went quite well; better than I expected, really" she recounted as she dressed in the most hiddeous skirt and (and not matching) top she could find available, she still worried about Claudine ..."but he said nothing about what else I could wear" came a wicked afterthought... remembering her discuise kit she added some pimples and a wart to her face and a hat to keep her hair out of the way. "Perfcect, this should do it"... as she hurried to the target range.

Nobody was more surpried than Deborah when the prince announced her as the winner of the Princess Pagent. "I didn't even enter, how could I have won?" she puzzled. Later Michael told her of the dream he had and how he wanted a wife who could hold her own in a dragon fight.

Together they made plans to find her parents, realising Claudine was old enough to look after herself.

Claudine was so upset, that she had lost the pagent to an "ugly girl"... she wondered if it was her hair. She got out the mirror in her handbag and screamed at the hideous face she saw. In her anger, she threw the mirror against the wall shattering it into tinsy pieces.

Deborah, however swept up the peices and the fairies restored it at her wedding, for that was the only gift she wanted.

Dominique and Gabriel
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life Winston Churchill
King cooper and Queen Jacinta were delighted to receive the three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna who had come to bless their two babies, Jacques and Dominique.
The King and Queen, thanked the fairies, gave them gifts asked their advice on a few pressing matters involving the Kingdom of France and hugged them goodbye, wishing them a safe journey.
Jacques and Dominique, grew up to be very good friends, until they became teenagers. Dominique had become friends with Jacoba. Jacques could never quite decide why, but he just didn’t trust her.
Dominique was not interested in what her brother had to say about Jacoba. Jacoba, stood up for her when others were mean to her. Sure, when Jacoba was around she felt herself being pressured into doing things she would not normally do, snubbing people Jacoba thought were beneath them, lying, playing nasty pranks on people and laughing at them when they were upset “Can’t cake a joke” they’d snigger.
But whenever they would get into trouble, Jacoba would always find a way to blame Dominique. Dominique began to realise that her brother was right, Jacoba was not a good friend for her and she hated the way she behaved around Jacoba.
Dominique decided to change her behaviour and change her friends. Jacoba started to like Dominique less when she realised that she couldn’t boss her around anymore.
It was difficult at first to make friends, as people did not trust her much. But she worked hard at becoming a good friend. Her Dad used to encourage her telling her “To have a friend you need to be a friend”.
Cara and Cherie became her two closest friends. She realised that her brother had wisdom about people and began to listen to his advice about friends. She found that she didn’t have to make other people sad to be happy. People stopped being mean to her when she was nice to them.
She missed Jacques when he went away and was very sad on their 22nd birthday when she didn’t see him at all. When all her friends had gone home from the slumber party she held; Sir Dimmik began to visit her.
Jacques had warned her not to trust him, and when he asked her to marry him, she said “No!”
“If I cannot marry you, NOBODY shall!” he screamed as he put her into a tower, which had not only a purple dragon guarding it, but a moat filled with baby crocodiles around it.
The dragon tried to eat her, but she was faster. She grabbed her mirror and reflected sunlight with it into the dragon’s eyes. The dragon screamed and she pushed him out the window, and he flew away as she shut the glass.
Relieved that the dragon was gone, the princess started to wonder how she could get around the baby crocodiles.
About two weeks later, she was out of ideas. She noticed a boat coming across the moat and a man rock-climbing to the window. Fearing at first that it was Sir Dimmik again, she thought fast grabbing her bow and arrows. As she tried to get a good aim she realised it was Prince Gabe, and opened the window wider for him to jump in.
He walked over to her, tugging on her hair,
“Ouch!”
“Sorry, Princess Dominique, do you want to get out of here?”
“Do I ever”
They put on the harnesses and ropes and abseiled to the bottom of the tower where the captain was waiting to help them into the boat.
Aboard the boat, Gabe mentioned that he was surprised to find no dragon and impressed when the princess told him of how she got rid of it. He apologised again for the hair pulling and told her about his dealings with Jacoba, now known as Jacoba Piggy...
Gabe had set out a few months ago to rescue a princess and marry her. While he was sleeping, the map which Lord Forest and Princess Cara sent him to find Princess Dominique, was switched by Jacoba Piggy as a consequence, he arrived at the wrong tower.
He battled the green dragon (a dragon which causes the people around it to be very sick) and entered the tower. He thought he saw Dominique, but upon talking to her realised there was something not quite right. She kicked the kitten that was in the corner of the room.
Gabe realised that it could not be Dominique, as she was gifted with a soft heart and would never be so cruel to animals. So he went closer and pulled the lady’s hair… Ready to tell her, “How do you like that” when the wig fell off and he realised that it was Jacoba Piggy.
“Jacoba! I will never marry you” he exclaimed
“He he he he heeee that’s what Prince Jacques said, right before I turned him into a frog; The same way I am going to turn YOU into a PIG”
But Gabe was quick with his shield, Zavier, and as she said Pig the curse bounced off his shield and back onto her and she turned into a pig.
Gabe found a Pig farmer to look after Jacoba the pig and a sailor offered to find the owner of the kitten.
“So the good news is that your brother did not marry Jacoba, but the bad news was that she turned him into a frog. I’d like to help you look for him”
Captain Benedict replied, “Jacques is quite safe, he’s engaged to Princess Cherie and both are waiting for you in Paris, I have been aboard the De Colores last fortnight for the journey to New Caledonia”.
Gabe asked the princess to marry him and there was a double wedding, the celebrations lasting a month, not too long later, in Paris.

Lord Forest recovers his temper
Even if you are right; if you lose your temper; you lose.
When Lord Forest was a baby, the three fairies, Kathléna, Ana and Belinda, did not come to his cradle or that of his identical twin brother, Sir Dimmik. They were not invited.
They were very polite fairies, so they stayed away.
They were not invited either, when Jacoba, their younger sister was born. The children’s parents did not believe in dragons, and thought that the fairies were only after their money.
Lord Forest, Sir Dimmik and Jacoba (nick-named Jacoba Piggy) grew up selfish, unkind and nasty. Like their parents, they did not have many friends, didn’t really want friends, unless they could manipulate them.
Lord Forest, was a very talented archer, in fact he was the second best archer in Europe. That was until he put his competition, Prince Matteo into an enchanted sleep, in a secret room of a deserted tower. He was very desperate to win the archery competition that year, and the next.
Sir Dimmik and Lord Forest were each determined to marry a princess. However no princess would agree to wed them as they were manipulative, untruthful and had very nasty tempers, so the brothers would put the princesses into towers until they changed their minds (or escaped).
The last princess that Lord Forest put into a tower was Princess Bella of Italy. Each day he would ride to the tower, and ask her if she had changed her mind. Every day she would reply “Lord Forest I will never marry you!”
“Well, stay there forever!” He would yell in reply
On the third day, he had come to check on the princess, he realised that Bella and Matteo were escaping and he was very angry. So angry that he did something in his anger that he truly regretted later; He pulled the hair and beard of Prince Matteo and the prince fell from the window of the tower.
Fortunately for the prince (and not so lucky for Lord Forest) the prince landed on top of him and the prince and princess took off on his horse.
Prince Matteo and Princess Bella called an ambulance for Lord Forest, when they reached the safety of a nearby village.
When Lord Forest, was in hospital, he realised that he could not ever be truly happy if he kept losing his temper. The hospital chaplain, who came to visit him, suggested that he participate in an anger management course through Salvatore College. He enjoyed the courses so much, that he took some dragon-fighting classes too and was quite talented with not only a bow and arrow but a sword and shield.
During his anger management course, Lord Forest wrote apology notes to all the people he had done nasty things to including Princess Bella and Prince Matteo.
When he graduated from Salvatore College, he decided to go and rescue the princesses his brother had put into towers. He made some inquiries and found that Princess Cara, Bella’s younger sister, was in a tower with a purple dragon guarding her.
Dragon fighters are always prepared, learning a thing or two from Princess Bella, when Lord Forest arrived at the tower; he slipped some sleeping tablets into the dragon’s food. When the dragon fell asleep, he tiptoed carefully past it (dragons’ snore, when they sleep and breathe fire) up into the tower.
When he arrived at the top, Princess Cara didn’t recognise him at first as his face had changed from angry to happy. He asked her if she wanted to get out of here, to which she replied “Yes”.
They tiptoed passed the dragon and ran for their lives to the next town. When she realised it was Lord Forest, Princess Cara was very surprised and, invited him to dinner with her family to say thanks for the rescue.
Princess Cara’s family noticed the positive changes in Lord Forest and complimented him on his calm temper and nice manners. Forest and Cara would practise dragon fighting techniques and together, they became sharper.
When Lord Forest told Cara of his desire to fight dragons and rescue more people, she really wanted to go with him. So he asked her parents for permission to marry the princess. Cara’s parents said “Lord Forest, we would not have liked you to marry Bella, but you have proved to us that you have changed and nothing would give us greater pleasure than to see you married to Cara”.

Claudine and Sir DimmikClaudine went into her house and stayed there for 3 months, until a wand arrived in the mail for her, from Jacoba Piggy's parents who heard of her predicament. They had read her parent's book, "Save your money and be happy" and thought since Jacoba no longer had use for it, perhaps Claudine could find it useful. They still didn't believe in dragons, but still believed that the fairies only wanted your money.
Using the wand, Claudine made herself beautiful again. She decided it was time to marry a prince. I'm not going to impersonate another princess, but invent one she decided. Princess Melanie was her alias. It wasn't long until she caught the eye of the handsome Prince Dimmik. She was flattered when he sent her chocolates, roses and even jewellery.
Of course, we know that Dimmik was not a prince, and Melanie was not a princess... But Dimmik and Claudine were so excited to marry royalty they decided to get married within a week, so that their partner could not change their mind and no one else could interfere.
Claudine thought their small wedding was incredibly romantic, and Dimmik was happy that he finally married a princess.
The happy couple had been married a week when they realised that they had been deceived. Happiness vanished, leaving wrath and hatred in its wake. Claudine and Dimmik could not be in the same house together without fighting; in fact they could not stand to be even be in the same town or country, such was their hatred of each other.
Dimmik went to a tower in Germany and Claudine went to live on a mountain top in Russia. They would send each other nasty gifts; for his birthday Claudine sent Dimmik 100 rats teeth, He sent her 50 dried toad's warts for Christmas, She sent him Chocolate covered Cockroaches for Easter so he sent her Bubble bath made from dragon's spit when it was her birthday. This cycle continues to this day, each trying to out-gross the other.

The legend of Silly Lizzy
Sympathy is addictive you crave it like a drug; Beware the overly Sympathetic...
Sympathy is never Ever FREE.
Elizabeth DeValli had 2 wonderful parents and two sisters. Lizzy, as she was often called in her childhood, was given the gift of a good imagination by the wise fairy Kathléna. She spent most of her days dreaming of a better life. What Lizzy was yet to understand was how good her life really was and how many blessings there were enriching her life that she overlooked every day.
Things like enough food to eat, a nice warm bed, a house to keep out the cold (yes, even though she had to share her room) clean drinking water and air. Lizzy was not a bad person, she just did not realise how many good things she had in her life that she could be thankful for.
When Lizzy would get in to trouble for fighting with her sisters, she would go off and sulk, in her tree house, saying to anyone who would listen... “It’s not fair! My sisters always pick on me, if I had been given nicer sisters, we wouldn’t be having this problem” she conveniently forgot the ways she used to provoke them by hiding their toys, and playing childish tricks on them, that made them feel ridiculous.
When she did not do well in her tests at school she would blame it on not having been given smarter brains... However her teachers would often catch her staring out of the window: day-dreaming. They would say “Lizzy are you working?”
“Yes,” Lizzy would tersely reply, annoyed about having her story interrupted.
When Lizzy became older she used to dream of a knight riding along on his palomino horse and rescuing her from her nasty family, and boring life. In fact she was so busy dreaming one day as she was out riding her bay horse, Brontes that she didn’t see that a blue dragon had appeared in front the horse and scared him. Brontes bolted. Lizzy lost her seat landing on the hard ground. She didn’t see that the dragon had horse for dinner. In fact, she didn’t see anything for almost an hour.
She woke up in a warm bed in a strange house with a handsome man who introduced himself as Ralph-Rae and told her that her horse had run off and it was lucky she fell, and he rescued her, as the horse was heading for a cliff. Lizzy was sad about losing her horse, she cried and Ralph-Rae gave her red medicine called Sympathy, it tasted very nice and would make her feel better for a time, but eventually, she would feel sad again. In fact whenever Lizzy would complain, Ralph-Rae would always have plenty of Sympathy ready for her. What she didn’t know, was that all of her complaining was making his pet blue dragon bigger, and the bigger the dragon grew, the more discontent Lizzy became.
The other thing that Lizzy definitely did not realise was that Ralph-Rae was preparing to make her a dragon’s dinner very soon. He put her in his dungeon and everyday he would check on her. When she cried and told him that she thought he was her friend, he laughed coldly and told her about the other girls who thought that too and he told her that they ended up the same place that she was going... Dragon’s Belly
“Wa Ha Ha Ha Ho” he laughed loudly as Lizzy cried.
Lizzy started to realise, that her life at home had been pretty good compared to the one she had now. She started to miss her family, and thought that if she ever got out of here, she would love to see them again, even for a moment. She wanted to apologise for taking them for granted.
She started to be thankful for her family, and as she became thankful, the dragon started to get smaller.
Ralph-Rae was worried about his pet and went to get some dragon medicine, from the door-to-door salesman who came to the house, the next day.
While the salesman was showing his medicines to Ralph-Rae, three Dragon-fighters crept past him in an effort to find the trapped Lizzy. Princess Cara, was ready with the Salt that she flung at the dragon. The salt hit him as he flew away, but his cry alerted Ralph-Rae.
Prince Michael (the peddler) was ready for him, telling Ralph-Rae that it sounded like he really needed a lot of this one pointing to the big barrel, of a greenish vomit looking medicine. Naming a very exorbitant price, he pointed out that the dragon may not live without it. So Ralph-Rae went out to his well (the secret hiding place, his aunt had for all her gold, which she didn't need any more) to purchase the medicine.
The dragon-fighters went through the house looking for Lizzy, Deborah found her first and untied her, while Lord Forest carried her out to the carriage which was waiting.
She and Cara were waiting with the ropes, ready to tie up Ralph-Rae. When he returned, they locked him in his dungeon with the “dragon medicine” which was full of salt... very bad for dragons.
When Ralph-Rae realised that he had been tricked he was very Angry, and began yelling, screaming and swearing. Lord Forest told him that he should do something about his temper.
Deborah tipped out his entire stock of Sympathy medicine saying, “You won’t be requiring this anymore, Ralph-Rae”.
The four Dragon fighters took Lizzy to hospital where she recovered from her injuries. Cara and Deborah visited her each day and from talking with them, she realised that she had some changes to make.
She decided that she needed to go back to Jae School, this time she put in a whole lot more effort and had good enough grades to go to Salvatore College. She was no longer silly anymore and went by her whole name Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, was careful about the friends she made, realising that she did not need people’s sympathy to be happy, she set about to be a friend and she found that she now had many friends. Instead of trying to be rescued, she decided to help people who needed it. She used her imagination in more suitable ways, such as the school drama club and eventually, she became a very much loved, Jae School teacher.

Ralph-Rae and the Dragon
Ralph-Rae lived with his aunt, Marigold and brother Aaron (pronounced Air-Ran) for as long as he could remember. His aunt was quite cold and nasty to both her nephews and never let them forget what a burden they were for her and how great she thought she was for looking after them all these years. She made them go to school in raggy clothes and never gave the boys enough food to eat. Aaron was quite mean to the other students and Ralph-Rae used to pretend he was going to school, but would sneak off to the near-by forest. He didn't really fool Aunt Marigold, but she didn't care as long as he was out of her hair.
One day when he was fishing in the creek, he noticed a shiny blue thing beside the water in the long grass. Thinking it might be a huge Easter egg, he went closer to take a look. He saw a sleeping baby dragon, it woke up as he went closer. It looked so tiny and harmless, he decided to keep it. He put it into his school bag for the trip home and snuck it into his room, making a bed for him he said goodbye and went back for his fishing gear.
While he was gone, Aaron arrived home and Aunt Marigold began to complain to him about her sore back, that no one appreciates the work she does and how cold the weather was. He went out to chop some fire wood, just to get some peace.
Ralph-Rae was surprised to see his dragon looking much healthier when he arrived back in his room. He thought it must have been the fish he'd shared with his pet and the rest he got in a comfy bed. The longer the dragon stayed with Ralph-Rae the healthier he seemed to grow. The dragon would tell him stories as he went to sleep at night, sometimes they would give him nightmares but as it was Ralph-Rae's turn to light the fire every morning, his dragon would help.
One day, the dragon had grown so big he couldn’t be pushed out of the window to spend the day with Ralph-Rae at the creek in the forest. Waving goodbye Ralph-Rae promised to bring back lots of fish to share, that he would catch today.
When the boys arrived home, the dragon had grown even bigger, it had to duck to get through the door of Ralph-Rae's room and Aunt Marigold was nowhere to be found. They had fish for dinner and wondered where their aunt was, but enjoyed the break from her whinging and nagging.
When they went to bed that night, the dragon told Ralph-Rae that he had eaten Marigold, and that he had eaten several hundred people in his life, "Dragon's quite like humans".
Aaron told Ralph-Rae that he'd decided to become a sailor when he found out that Aunt Marigold was not coming back, by sailor, he meant pirate, but didn't want to tell that to his brother. Ralph-Rae decided to stay at the house with his dragon.
A few months passed and Ralph-Rae became concerned as he realised his dragon had stopped growing. He thought that the fish he was catching just were not enough anymore; he had not been worried about the dragon eating him though...

He reflected as he was trapped in his dungeon, covered in green sludge. He wished his friend would come back and rescue him. The dragon did come back that night; he was hungry for another human dinner. He broke down the door and he drooled as he started to come into the dungeon. Telling Ralph-Rae that he hoped he'd taste as good as his aunt did.
"What?! I thought you were my Friend"
"No little mate, humans are food"
"But I helped you, I gave you somewhere to stay, I gave you things to eat"
"Am I supposed to say 'Thank-you'?" He said with a wicked laugh. "Dragons can take care of themselves". The blue dragon sneered as he walked closer, almost slipping on his drool.
What he didn't notice was a puddle of "dragon medicine" as his foot stepped on it "AHHHHH!" Bellowed the dragon. "SALT!" I HATE Salt!" He screamed as he flew away.
He began to shrink, until he became a baby again and flew out of house, to wash the salt off before he vanished in a puff of smoke.

"I'm sorry but you had to see that, there is no way we would have left you to starve." said a man whose face was in shadow, as he walked closer, he continued; "However, if we let you go this afternoon, the dragon would have eaten you." He began to untie the ropes; "You hear the stories, Dragons are not friends but they are tricky. My brother, sister and I grew up not believing in dragons at all; what a shock I got. My sister was deceived as you were, she thought they were friends too, but she was turned into a pig while playing with a wand they gave her".
"Jacoba Piggy is your sister?" I thought that was just a myth.
"Unfortunately for her, it’s not. Here's some food, you've had a long day” He said opening his lunch box, to reveal some chicken, pink-lady apples and sandwiches, which were devoured in just a few bites.
Lord Forest continued to talk with Ralph-Rae and encouraged him to go back to school. He listened while Ralph-Rae told him how hard he found school, kids teasing him and lessons were challenging.
"My wife's parents, Thane and Brianna, will be happy to look after you while you are studying, they are pretty good people. They have been a little lonely since Bella, their older daughter, married Matteo and Cara and I travel a lot, fighting dragons"
Ralph-Rae did quite well at Jae school this time, and continued his study by going to Salvatore College. He lived up to his name "Wolf in sheep's clothing" but this time, he was dangerous to the dragons. He was fantastic at hiding, and could hit the targets from unexpected places. Although others were better in competitions, Ralph-Rae was better in the dragon fights.

Elizabeth, Antoinette and Rachael
Once there were three princesses, Antoinette, Elizabeth and Rachael. You would not have picked them for sisters except for one thing- their laugh. Although they loved each other dearly, they were as different in nature as they were in looks.
Elizabeth had red hair and green eyes, Antoinette had blonde hair and brown eyes, and their middle sister, Rachael, had raven black hair and striking blue eyes.
Each of the sisters attended Jae-School but only Antoinette and Elizabeth went on to Salvatore College. Rachael was not very interested in fighting dragons. She hoped that the she could marry a prince who would do all the fighting for her.
Rachael was beautiful, with a fair complexion and attracted many princes- some nice, some handsome some not so nice… It seemed that the worse the princes were, the more Rachael was attracted to them. At first her sisters would try to warn her that the princes were not all that they seemed, but it just made Rachael angry, so they stopped.
While Rachael was entertaining the knights, her sisters were polishing their swords, practising extinguishing flaming arrows with their shields and fighting off dragons that had threatened the family. Sooner or later, as they worked, the bad knights would drop away.
One day another wise princess, Bella, told Elizabeth about a dagger she had which was particularly effective in keeping dragons away from her family. Elizabeth liked it so much that she had one made for herself, one for her sisters and several for her friends.
She practised with the dagger and won many small victories. Her friends loved the daggers she had gifted them and told her of the huge dragons they had scared off with them. Elizabeth was so excited that on the day of her sister’s wedding. she gave to Rachael and Philipe the dagger she had saved all her money to buy.
Alas, Rachael and her husband did not see the value of the dagger. Sometimes, dragons would come to their new house; Rachael would cry “Help! Help!” someone would always come to her rescue. Sometimes her parents King Hayden and Queen Shaina, sometimes her sisters or a friend, other times her husband… when he was not busy riding his horse and telling her that he was the boss.
One day Elizabeth asked Rachael if she liked the dagger that she had sacrificed to get her. To which Rachael replied that it really was a useless gift for her and that they really had no use for it. Elizabeth swallowed back the tears and waves of disappointment rolled through her stomach and onto her face, so she hung her head and let her hair mask her disappointed countenance.
She never mentioned again how great she thought the dagger was to Rachael.
Eventually she began to wonder if it was all a trick and started to use it less. She wondered when it would be her turn to have a dragon-fighting partner… When he comes, I’ll use it again she compromised. The dragons were delighted.
Sometimes one of her friends would tell her how fantastic the dagger was that she had given them. She’d nod and smile- but think back to the one person who did not treasure her gift… and she’d persuaded herself that when her dragon-fighting partner came along… they’d show Rachael and Philipe how great the dagger really was.
One day two or three Mud-brown dragons crept over to Racheal and Phlipe's house attacking from all sides they breathed fire on the castle and burned it to pieces. Prince Philipe blamed Rachael and went back to his kingdom.
But Elizabeth remembered the dagger she had treasured so long ago. She knew that it was possible to rebuild the castle, and it could be better than it was before, she knew of others it had worked for… others who loved the dagger.
It was hard work but the family restored the Castle, Prince Philipe had been in his parents Kingdom about a month when King Daniel and Queen Aleesha sent him back to help re-build the castle, they had been shocked by this tragedy and told him that his behaviour in leaving was most inappropriate for a prince, even his sister Isabelle, and brother Ramon came to help. They told him that this time, he had to be more careful to keep the dragons away, and he could not do that in Germany, when his castle was in Malta. It was not just left to Rachael and her family to rebuild the castle. Leandros, Benedict Ralph-Rae and even Aaron (who had been aboard the De Colores for the past 6 months) came to help as Salvatore College was on holidays.
Philipe and Rachael went to Salvatore College when they finished restoring their house, they now saw the value in Dragon-Fighting classes, realising that keeping dragons away benefits everyone. Rachel found her dagger and used it very effectively. Philipe found he was good at shooting arrows; but he especially liked jousting, because he could do it riding his horse. He had lots of ability although, in the past had rarely used it. He was happy to scrape a pass, if it did not interfere with his horse-racing and he relied on his charm to get him where he wanted to go.

Arrogant Aaron becomes Assertive
Aaron (pronounced Air-ran) was 11 months old when he became a big brother. No fairies were invited to his cradle or Ralph-Rae's. His parents had fancied themselves too busy. What they hadn't realised was a yellow dragon had moved into the forest near them. The busier they seemed, the bigger he got, until one day they both became sick. What nobody knew at the time was that the dragon had humans for dinner, as the babies were taken to their Aunt Marigold to care for.
Marigold, was Old. Like the flower she was named after, she was cruel and jealousy ruled her life. Unfortunately for Aaron, he became very much like his Aunt. When he first went to school, he was so nasty and domineering, that most of the students thought they would prefer to fight a real dragon than sit beside him in class and play with him at lunch.
He was always picking fights, being rude everybody including the teachers and getting everybody assigned more homework. He had this way of making you feel stupid if you made a mistake, and wicked if you disagreed with him. He was his own worst enemy.
He wished he could avoid school, as Ralph-Rae did, but he found fishing boring. He decided he'd rather go to school and make people as miserable as he felt.
Aunt Marigold constantly complained and made him work even when he was really tired. While he was working he dreamed of a life where no one could tell him what to do... He dreamed of becoming a pirate.
He rolled his eyes as he thought "She always said she did everything"... but he had trouble finding out what the “everything” she did for them was. "As far as I can tell she sits on the sofa all day" he thought to himself.
One day, he came home and she was gone. The next morning when Ralph-Rae told him she had died, he decided to grab his chance and join the pirates.
Being a pirate was not as much fun as he thought it would be. Instead of having a grumpy aunt tell him what to do all the time, he had a ship load of pirates instead. Pirates would steal from each other and he constantly had to hide his money.
One day he got a job on the De Colores, simply because he wanted to go home and that's where that ship was heading. Captain Benedict was not like the other captains he had met, nor was the crew, he found out. They didn't try to humiliate him and steal from him. They expected him to work hard, but they never expected the impossible. If he was sick, they allowed him to get better before making him work hard again.
One day he asked them why they were different and Leandros, the first mate, told him about Jesus. He told him of being orphaned and raised by his Aunt Beth and Uncle Samuel. They were good people, but he just felt like a burden to them. He was angry at the sharks for eating his family, and angry at many people some he had never even met.
But the sailors on the de Colores had told him of Jesus a few years ago, and even though he was back at college, he'd come along on his holidays to give some of the other sailors a break.
Aaron had much to ponder. When the ship docked and Leandros asked if he would like to come and help re-build some castle that the dragons destroyed, he was eager. Especially, when he was told of how well they could cook. He was quite sick of seafood, and ship food.
When Philippe and Rachael decided to go back to college, Aaron thought he might give it a go too.
There was something about Aaron this time that the other students recognised. They were not afraid of him anymore. It was beneficial to have him on their team. He was a great hunter. He was very good at scaring the dragons and "persuading" them to go, with words and then with his sword.

Salvatore College Practicum
Dragon-fighters in training need to practise, so in their final year of Salvatore College, students are required to go on a trek to fight dragons and learn from experts the fine art of what to do and more importantly, what not to do when fighting dragons.
The class was split into two teams; the Ehuds who were Alessandro, Leandros, Antionette, Anastasia, Isabella and Ramon
The Zerubbabels who were Elizabeth, Rachel, Philipe, Aaron and Ralph-Rae.
Both teams were headed towards Tres-cartorse, a city in the Siberian desert. Each team was handed a map with different directions to the same place, though they would face different obstacles, they should arrive at the same time. The Ehuds were first taken through the town of Dunka, Germany.
When they arrived in Dunka, having noticed that the city was covered in fog (dragons are afraid of sunlight and prefer to cover the town in fog to party) there was such a sight to be seen, people were sleeping on the roads, telling each other how comfortable their beds were, eating rubbish from the tip saying how yummy the food was, giving their dogs hay to eat and horses meat to eat, trying to fly off their rooves with a feather on each hand saying "Tweet tweet".
"What makes people behave so crazy?" wondered Ramon
"Light-Brown dragons" replied the girls
"Let’s get them" said the guys.
Armed with bows, arrows, swords and salt they tracked the dragons down one by one.
They had to do some fast talking, at one stage a man had a small dragon that he was patting, saying "nice pony"
Allessandro said "Oooh what's his name?" pretending to go over and pat it as he sprinkled salt on the animal again this time there was a puff of smoke and it turned into an egg.
As they were putting the egg onto the buggy, another dragon flew over and made off with the egg, earning an arrow in its side it flew away shrinking and shrieking, but landed far enough from Dunka to become less of a problem.
Another lady had a snake that she was trying to use as a rope to tie some things together with. It was no use reasoning with her, but Anastasia was quick with her sword, and offering her the use of her sash as a replacement rope.
The more the dragon-fighters worked; the thinner the fog became, until finally there was too much sunlight for the dragons to be happy and they flew away in terror.
When the fog cleared, the people wondered what they were doing at the dump, on the roof and laying on the road. When the dragon-fighters told them about the brown dragons, they thanked them for fighting them and offered them a place to stay for the night (yes a real bed in a house) and food (not from the dump) for the journey. Many people in the town of Dunka could not remember the silly things that they had been doing when the dragons were there the day before. "How did I lose my... Where did that... come from?" they wondered.
The team reminded the people of Dunka that the best way to prevent a dragon attack again was to use salt, light and songs about Jesus before they went on their way the next day, leaving the people repairing the damage from the dragon attack.

The Zerubbabels began their mission by going through the Village of Schneider. From a distance, they noticed the thick fog covering the town and getting closer, seeing everyone sick, they realised they were dealing with a green dragon or three.
Philippe was excited that he had the chance to lance a dragon, targeting the biggest one; he, Elizabeth and Aaron rode their horses at the dragon from all sides, allowing Philippe the leverage he needed, it was hard work, but eventually the dragon left taking a lot of fog with him.
Rachel and Ralph-Rae were busy with the salt tipped bows, which left the smaller dragons shrinking as they flew away, taking the disease and rest of the fog with them.
The team helped the village to recover, which was a much easier job now the dragons had gone, though some were still weak, the people were feeling much better. They offered them a place to rest and gave them yummy food. The people in village of Schneider felt so much better by that evening that they had a huge party that night with plenty of dancing, salty foods and songs about Jesus. By the time the party was over everyone was well again, and not even tired anymore.
The next day the Zerubbabels were on their way to meet the Ehud team in the Once (said oon-say) Inn. The 9 trainee dragon fighters met and talked of their quests. Cara and Lord Forest were there to answer their questions and make sure that they were all ok from the journey. They had worked so hard they were allowed a break before continuing on their quest.
New maps were given to each team and they parted again with many hugs, high-fives and "We'll see you soon's".
This time they set off on winged horses, usually only the best dragon fighters are given the honour of riding these animals. As Salvatore College produces the finest dragon-fighters it is realised that they need to know how to use their helpers well. They can make a trip of 2 days by flight; what could take 2 weeks on the ground. Being in the air gives the rider a different perspective; the teams could see dragons flying over the towns of Seven and Paz and stopped to help.
As the Ehuds drew closer to the town of Seven, they could see the Yellow dragons more clearly. Seven was in Chaos, the people were so greedy. They were taking each other’s money, some were lying down because they couldn't walk as they had eaten so much food. When people were buying things they were giving the person some fake money in with the real money and the sellers were putting fewer things in than they were charging for. People had special pockets sewn into their clothes so that they could hear their money jingle as they walked. People didn't trust each other very much and preferred to stay home and count their money then hang with friends.
It was hard work to get rid of the dragons, as the people of Seven thought that they owned them too, what they didn't know was that eating so much food and wearing your money makes it harder to run away when the dragons tried to eat them. The dragons were happy to let the people think they owned them, because that just kept the food they liked to eat that much closer.
When the dragons were gone and the fog was lifted, the people of Seven were very sorry for their greedy behaviour. They decided to share their food and money with children the Dragon-fighters told them of, in other countries who no longer had any parents. Some of the people of Seven decided to take the money to the people who were helping the children and see if there was anything they could do to help too.
The Ehuds were proud of the progress the people of Seven had made, and told them to keep being generous. Also reminding them of the 3 ways to fight dragons, they promised to come back and visit again when they had finished College.

The Zerubbabels found that the town of Paz was not very peaceful with Purple dragons flying about making trouble. People were throwing things, yelling, destroying property, swearing, kicking and hurting each other. Several times the dragon-fighters had to duck to avoid objects being hurled. Rachael found her shield handy for dodging junk as well as dragon fire. Philippe was disappointed that he couldn't use his lance and dodge the junk at the same time, so the team used many arrows dipped in salt. They had to be careful taking aim as they only wanted to hit dragons, not the citizens of Paz.
With the departure of each dragon, the people seemed to calm a little bit more, and peace was restored to Paz when the fog had lifted and the last purple dragon was gone. The Zerbbabels began helping them to restore some order to the town, so everyone could get a decent rest that night.
As the team was leaving the next day, they reminded the people of Paz, the 3 ways to fight dragons and encouraged them to love and show kindness to each other. "Start by telling 3 people each day that you love them and 2 things you like about them. Also try to do 3 kind things for other people every day and keep a journal of who you helped so you don't forget".
Meeting up again in another place on the edge of the Siberian Desert, they said goodbye to their winged friends, and joined Michael and Deborah. After being given 3 days rest, they mounted their Bactrian camels (Camels with two humps, suited to cold weather) and went on together, to the ruined town of Tres-Cartorse.

The town of Tres-CatorseThe town of Tres-Cartorse was founded by people who were frightened of dragons, in their fear, they moved into the snowy desert, and built a wall around the city hoping they would be safe. The bricks they used were said to be fire proof and the walls were high to prevent dragons flying in, there was barbed wire above them.
The city of Tres-Cartorse was cold and dark because of the walls, feeling more like a gaol than a home and though the people felt relatively safe, there was not much cheer. They made rules for themselves, believing that the dragons were attracted to shiny things, flying things and eggs; anything that was shiny, could fly and laid eggs were outlawed. Sometimes the people missed scrambled eggs and other things made with eggs, like cake and Pavlova but, they did not dare mention it as they knew they would be made to leave the city. The dragons were delighted and grew stronger, as they love fear in humans, and when a person is hiding they cannot effectively help others... "We can pick on more people unhindered... more food for us" they laughed
Every Tres-Cartorseite was made to wear wooden jewellery as they believed that wood repels dragons, the more wood you could wear, the higher their status in the community.
The Tres-Cartorseite community was not much interested in helping people terrorised by dragons because "If you only followed our rules, there wouldn't be a dragon problem, they reasoned".
Only people who had permission from the elders of the community could live in Tres-Cartorse. Certainly no one who had pirates in their family, definitely nobody who was once a pirate and even dragon fighters were discouraged as they were considered extreme and trouble makers.
The Tres-Cartorseites believed themselves safe from dragons, and did not see the need to practise dragon fighting, they became fat and uncoordinated and so when 50 hungry dragons attacked from all sides, they didn't have a chance.
A few escaped but most of the city was destroyed. The dragons had such a merry time, "Hahahaa fire proof walls; dragon PROOF city All you can eat Buffet for me" they said licking their lips and drooling pools of saliva.
It was found out later, that Claudine's parents had been chased to the city by a hungry dragon, they were sheltered for the night, but later when they said "We don't understand, we thought dragons were our friends," they were forced to leave. Which worked in their favour as the dragons attacked the city the next day.
The few remaining Tres-Cartorse blamed Melaney and Demetris for the dragon attack, "dragon-lovers, bringing them their dragons to our clean city" they muttered among themselves and dogmatically held to their beliefs. What they neglected to realise, was that there were only 3 ways to fight dragons and no amount of wooden jewellery was in the least bit beneficial. You need to practise every day to stay sharp and hiding from dragons makes you a weaker target, giving them the advantage.
By the time Lochie and Tahnee (Deborah's parents) had reached the town of Tres-Cartorse the dragons were leaving, so they "helped them on their way", the dragons flew off angry and shrinking from the salt-tipped sword wounds. Lochie and Tahnee searched the city for survivors, but few were found. All the adults had left, by the time they found a baby who had been left orphaned in a cellar. They named her Una-fe and decided to keep looking for Melaney and Demetris.
Michael and Deborah arrived at the ruined city of Tres-Cartorse and were surprised to find the whole place destroyed. Not far from the city they noticed a yellow dragon attacking a tree, they thought that was strange. Deborah had hit her target and the dragon left. They went to take a closer look.
They noticed a little door in the trunk when opened, revealed two bedraggled creatures who had fainted in fright. Melaney and Demetris. "My parents are going to be happy to see you two. Let’s get them back to ruined city, into one of the cellars; there is room for them to recover there".
And recover they did. When they were able to travel, the 4 headed for home on their stay at the inn on the edge of the desert, they were joined by 3 weary travellers who had given up hope of seeing the people they had come to rescue alive.
What a joyous reunion they had. It was decided that the older travellers would go home together and the newlyweds would bring Una-Fe to Bella and Matteo. Which led them to joining with Lord Forest and Cara in rescuing a girl in a dungeon and a boy from his "friend" the dragon... but that's another story.
The two older couples had long discussions about dragons, and dragon-fighters on their long trip home. Melaney and Demetrius were no longer under the illusion that they could be friends with dragons, and decided that the best thing to do was to fight them and tell others that "dragons are not friends". They began with Claudine, (in Siberia) but she was not ready to hear it yet, but others were and appreciated their advice. They no longer went by the names Melaney (weak) and Demetrius (devoted to the goddess of fertility), preferring Amelia (Hard Worker) and Demarco (War like), and they certainly lived up to their new names, the dragons were terrified.
3 years after the attack on Tres-Cartorse , The Salvatore College students arrived at the ruined city. Learning from the mistakes of Tres-Cartorse, the students rebuilt the city, to be used as a refuge and training centre, no more hiding from dragons in this city. When the city was rebuilt, the students had their graduation in the place they worked so hard at fortifying. Their parents and families were invited to see the finished product and celebrate with them.
The Tres-Cartorseites who didn't learn their lesson moved to the sandy deserts of Southern Africa. The Kalahari Desert was a welcome but nasty change from the snow of Siberia. Setting up another village they were sure was dragon proof; this time under the ground (because dragons liked to fly) surely they would be safe under the ground... They named their town Ostridgevale. The rules were pretty much the same as before, but the jewellery was made out of stone, as wood was found to be an ineffective dragon deterrent.

FairylandUpdate2

Jacques and Chérie
The Frog Prince Retold
The three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna had two babies to visit and bless with
gifts, Jacques and Dominique.
As you may or may not know, Ana and Belinda give to all princesses the gifts of
beauty and grace and to each prince, the gifts of handsomeness and charm.
The wise fairy Kathléna looked down at the sleeping twins and said softly "Prince
Jacque, I give you the gift of Discernment and Princess Dominique; I give you the gift
of A soft heart".
King Cooper and Queen Jacinta, thanked the fairies, gave them gifts, asked their
advice on a few pressing matters involving the Kingdom of France and hugged them
goodbye, wishing them a safe journey.
Jacques and Dominique, grew up to be very good friends, until they became teenagers.
Dominique had become friends with Jacoba. Jacques could never quite decide why,
but he just didn't trust her.
He expressed his concern to his mother Queen Jacinta, who told him about his gift
from the wise fairies and told him to trust himself and be careful.
It turned out that Jacques had good reason to be distrustful of Jacoba. As it turned
out she was only friends with Dominique because she wanted to marry a prince.
Prince Jacques was her target, to be precise.
Eventually Princess Dominique, realised that Jacoba was not a good friend for her to
have. She set some healthy boundaries which annoyed Jacoba so she left. Dominique
made new friends, who were not so manipulative and everyone breathed a sigh of
relief.
When Princes turn Twenty-one and one month, it is their mission to find a princess,
rescue her and get married. Jacques and Dominique said goodbye and the prince went
to rescue Princess Cariña of Spain.
However, when he reached the tower, he thought it strange that it was so easy to get
passed the dragon guarding the gate. When he reached the princess, he said "Princess
Cariña?"
"Oui"
That's interesting, she should have said "Sí" thought the prince to himself, and he
decided to test her. In Spanish he said "Are you sure you are the ugly princess Carina?
"
"Sí"
"You are as beautiful as toad's warts" he said, coming over to play with her hair.
"Gracias" she replied.
Prince Jacques pulled the hair, and the wig came off.
"Jacoba! I will never marry you!"
"He eh he he hi! I'll turn you into a frog" she replied and as soon as she said "Frog",
she gave a wave of her magic wand the prince started shrinking and turning green.
"The only way you will turn back into a Prince again, is if a Princess kisses you...
before another frog does that is. He eh he he hi".
Prince Jacques hopped all around Europe, Asia and the Middle East looking for a
princess to kiss him. But each time he got anywhere near a princess, the reaction was
the same... she would scream and run away.
One month before his birthday he began to get very homesick, so he decided to go
back to the castle in Paris. He thought of how much he would like to see his sister on
their birthday, and he thought perhaps Dominique could persuade one of her friends
to give him a kiss.
However, when he arrived at the castle, on his birthday, as he hopped past the gate,
he heard a blood-curdling scream and saw two young princesses running away from
him, screaming "Frog!" the cook came out (She was usually nice to Jacques and would
make him eggs on toast every morning) she yelled at him;
"If you don't leave my princesses alone, I'll turn you into dinner".
"She doesn't recognise me" the dejected prince said to himself as he hopped out of
the castle grounds.
"Well, no princess in Europe, Asia or the middle East is interested in helping me,
perhaps I can go on a ship and try my luck elsewhere," he thought as he hopped to
Calais.
He snuck on board a ship, called the De Colores, in someone's lunchbox and then hid
in some ropes, till the ship was well out to sea. He was pretty good at staying hidden,
until the day it started to rain.
The frog part of him could not resist hopping out to dance and sing. He was so busy
enjoying himself that he did not realise that he had an audience.
If Captain Joshua Glimmersword, was surprised to hear a frog aboard his ship singing
in French, he was amazed to hear him change to Spanish, his own language.
When Jacques realised he had an audience, he started to croak. But Joshua tricked him
into talking. He then asked him why he could talk and Jacques told him the whole
story of Carina, Jacoba Piggy and his trip around Europe.
The Captain told Jacques that he was Princess Carina's cousin and of how she had
been rescued by Prince Carlos of England, last year and that due to a tragedy in his
family, they had to leave the De Colores and take over his father's rule in England. He
also mentioned that they would arrive in New Caledonia in a few weeks and said
perhaps he would have more luck there.
As the ship docked they thanked each other for the French and Portuguese lessons,
they had given and received to pass the time and wished each other a safe Journey.
Green frogs don't like sand much, it was hot and salty, but soon Jacques was hopping
in the forest. He was so happy he started to sing again. As he was hopping along he
noticed a lady who was sitting by a well crying, he recognised her as Princess Cherie,
as she was one of Dominique's friends.
He hopped over to her and asked if she was ok. She was so distraught; it didn't
appear strange to her that she was talking to a frog.
She told him that she was upset as she dropped her ball in the well. She'd tried to get
it out but the fishing net was too short and the tree branch could not grip the ball.
The ball was made of gold and it was a gift from her father, just before he died. She
was sitting thinking of him when the ball slipped from her fingers into the well and
now she was worried she would never see it again.
Jacques said "No problem, I can dive into the well and get it back for you"
"Really, you would do that for me?"
"Sure frogs love swimming"
"Thank-you what can I do in return?"
"Well, now that you ask, could you kiss me Princess Cherie, if I get the ball back for
you?"
"Oui"
So the frog-prince took a huge breath and dove into the water. He picked up the ball
and began to swim back to the surface.
The princess picked up the frog and the ball thanking him profusely, she planted a
kiss on his cheek.
Prince Jacques started to feel himself change back into a man. When the
metamorphosis was complete, he thanked Princess Cherie, who now recognised her
friend's brother, Prince Jacques.
Prince Jacques once again told the story of Jacoba and his adventure, as they walked
back to her Grandmother's place where Cherie and her mother were vacationing.
Prince Jacques, asked Cherie to be his wife. She had one condition; never eat insects
again... she had 1000 pet butterflies.
They had two children, Jeremiah and Tamiah, who were always known to their friends
as Miah and Mia. They were the second best swimmers in the world, their father
being the best.

Carlos and Cariña
Those who are always complaining about their circumstances find that
success continually eludes them. As do those who speak ill of others or who
make excuses for their failures.

The three fairies Ana, Belinda and Kathléna came to Spain, to bless Princess Carina. Of
course she received the usual Beauty and Grace from Ana and Belinda, but the wise
fairy Kathlena gave to her the gift of a beautiful singing voice. King Denver and Queen
Makayla thanked the fairies, asking them to stay for dinner.
When Carina would sing; sick people would become well, sad people would be
cheerful and angry people would become calm.
One day as Carina was walking in the gardens, Jacoba disguised as an old lady came
up to her asking for help. She said that there was a sick unicorn who needed her help.
Jacoba took her to a tower and locked the door. When Carina reached the top of the
stairs, there was not a sick unicorn but a hungry blue dragon.
Blue dragons make the people around them sad, for reasons that the people
themselves are not even sure of. When the person cries themself into a little ball, the
dragon eats his dinner.
Carina knew that there were three ways to get rid of a dragon, salt, light and songs
about Jesus. She began to feel sad, so she started singing. The dragon clasped his
paws over his ears screaming "I don't want to hear about Jesus" and flew out of the
window. Carina kept singing, as she was now happy and rid of the dragon.
Carina tried to climb out of the window using her sheets as a rope ladder, but they
only went half way down the tower and there were rocks and ocean water at the
bottom. She decided not to risk a jump and went back into her room to work on
another plan.
She was so busy working on new plans that she did not see the De Colores, a ship,
sailing past.
Carlos
rock-climbed to the window of the tower, with a rope ladder on his back. But when
he jumped into the room, there was no one there.
"That's funny" he thought, and began to take a look around. He checked the
cupboard and under the bed. When he looked behind the duchess, there was a lady
hiding. She asked him if he was going to rob her.
He laughed when he realised what the problem was. He told her his name was Captain
Carlos, of the De Colores and that he only dresses like a pirate to tell other sailors
about Jesus.
Still not sure if she could trust him the Princess said, "Then you would know my
cousin, Joshua, can you take me to him".
"Joshua Glimmersword?, He's the one who noticed you and is down waiting in the
boat"
So they climbed down the tower, using the rope ladder. When safe in the boat, Carina
and Joshua had a joyous reunion and she thanked the captain for rescuing her.
Carlos decided to see her safely home when they docked in Spain, and he made
Joshua the new captain of the De Colores. While visiting with Carina's family he
received the news that his father was ill and he needed to go home.
Carina went with him, to sing to the king and his family, the king was old but he
passed away happy and at peace, not only was Carina gifted with a beautiful voice,
but she had consented to become the bride of Carlos, the new king of England.

Joshua and Helena
In the month of her birth, Princess Helena was visited by three fairies Ana, Belinda and
Kathléna, who gave to her the gifts of Beauty, Grace and a Sunny Disposition as her
name means "Light". Her parents, Beth and Samuel were thankful to the fairies,
inviting them to stay for supper and giving them gifts.
When Helena was quite young her cousin, Leandros came to live with her family, when
he was orphaned, but that's another story. Helena loved her cousin and looked up to
him as a brother. She was concerned when Jacoba tried to marry him and he went off
to join the pirates to avoid her.
Helena prayed for him every night and three years later, she received a letter from
Leandros telling her that he was not a pirate anymore and he was working on the De
Colores. She was thrilled reading of his adventures, fighting sea-serpants, dragons
and telling other pirates about Jesus. Leandros wrote that he would be coming home
soon and that his ship woud be docking in Calis mid June. He was attending the
wedding of Jacques and Cherie and coudn't wait to see her.
Helena decided that she would surprise her cousin and meet him at the Marina before
the wedding. Setting out a few days before King Samuel and Queen Beth, Helena had
been traveling for 2 weeks. She was tired from traveling and so excited about her
family reunion, that she didn't notice the log beside the road. Her horse, Timid, was
scared (it was scared of the most ramdom things) and it bolted and hurt himself on a
sharp rock. Timid would be ok, but Helena couldn't ride him and she was no where
near the place she was to stay for the night. But not to be deterred, she set out to
look for somewhere closer to stay.
It was almost dark, and there were still no houses in sight when an old lady driving a
buggy arrived beside her and offered her a lift. There was something about the lady's
eyes that reminded her of Jacoba, so she refused the offer. Helena was right to be
sceptical about accepting help from a stranger, though this lady was not a stranger,
she was in fact Jacoba, who turned her into a kitten and put her into a wooden box.
Helena spent two days as a kitten, and Jacoba kept her in a box for most of that time.
She didn't want any dragon-fighters or a "nosey" King and Queen rescuing Helena
before she got to Calis. She had the perfect way to make Leandros marry her, that's if
she failed to get Gabe to the alter.
Helena could see a man she recognised as Prince Gabe and Jacoba through a
knot-hole in the wood. Jacoba was dressed in a beautiful green dress and long red
hair it must be a wig thought Helena, she looks a lot like Domnique, I cannot let her
fool this man.
Helena had been pretnding to be asleep when Jacoba tried to feed her the
chicken-liver, even as a cat, she hated chicken-liver. In her haste to get ready for
Prince Gabe, Jacoba forgot to close the lid properly. Helena now began to climb to the
top of the box and it tipped over. She was free!
Ouch! Jacoba cake her a sharp kick
The language which Jacoba and the prince were speaking, was French, Helena didn't
understand it, but she could tell by the tones that he was not fooled for long.
Suddenly, the wig was off. Jacoba was a pig and Helena could speak, but the prince
didn't understand her. Prince Gabe picked her up and tied a rope around Jacoba-the
pig's neck.
He gave Jacoba to a pig farmer and on his way from the farm, he started talking to
another man, who started to pat her. When Gabe had gone, Helena decided to test her
vocal chords once again, this time trying Portugiuse first.
The man was surprised but he didn't drop her. He told her later of a frog he met who
could speak French, Spanish and English.
"How is it that you can speak?" he asked
Helena told him of being tricked by Jacoba Piggy and that the pig he saw, is Jacoba
and how she became a pig.
"How can you be a princess again?"
"If a dragon-fighter in the King's family gives me a kiss"
"I'm Joshua Glimmersword: King Denver's nephew, at your service". Picking up his
sword "This is Nasel, my dragon-fighting saber, may I have the honour?"
"Sim"
The Captain lifted her paw and gave her a kiss and soon she was a lady again.
"Aubrigato Senor"
"That's Ok. Do you like Churissos?"
"Sim, Spanish or Portugise?"
"Let's get both, and then I'm heading to Paris for a wedding, would you like to come
as my date? Or can I drop you anywhere on the way?"
"Jacques and Cherie?"
"Sim"
"That is where I am heading too".

Deborah and Michael
Prince Michael, the younger twin of Gabe decided to marry a girl from his own
kingdom. When he turned 21 and one month the search began. He had a dream of the
girl he was looking for. Flowing red curls, freckles and a good shot at archery.

With the help of his Cousins, Anastasia and Alessandro, he began the "Dare to be a
Princess" pagent.

Claudine (the mean) was the cousin of Deborah, and she was determined to have
Prince Michael (any prince for that matter) for a husband. She had a secret; dragon's
tears in a Black diamond bottle, collected by her grandfather, Claudio, and passed on
to her. The dragons had managed to conceal from Claudine and her family that a
yellow dragon had eaten Claudio shortly after he gave her the gift. Her parents,
Melaney and Demetrius, continued to believe the myth of "Dragons are our friends,
and fairies only want your money", in fact, they wrote a book about it "Save your
money, and be happy". The dragons were planing to eat them soon but Claudine was
convinced that her parents had taken a nice, refreshing vacation in Siberia.

Claudine and Deborah were cousins, their mothers were sisters. When her parents had
set off to find Claudine's parents, they requested that Deborah stay with Claudine to
make sure she was safe. The fairies had given to Deborah's family a soul-mirror; a
mirror that reflects the character of the person looking at it. If a person were to gaze
at it for more than 3 seconds, it alters their appearance to reflect their character. If
you asked the mirror, it would tell you what to change to improve and how to develop
your strengths.

Deborah was convinced that something was wrong with the soul-mirror, as it had
given her freckles; though it brightened her eyes and curled her red flowing hair.
When she asked it what she could change, it said that she needed to keep being
honest and improve her dragon-fighting skills.

Claudine and Deborah always had pelenty of visitors to in the house, who would come
early and stay late, in order to see Claudine who was always too busy having fun to
help Deborah with the cleaning.

Their parents had been gone 7 months When Claudine announced that she planed to
try out for the "Princess Pagent". She let it slip that she had a secret wepon...
Dragon's tears.

Deborah was alrmed and told her that they may not be safe. Claudine replied that
she'd been puting them in her orange juice every morning for years and all they did
was improve her good looks.

Deborah decided that she had better go along to the castle in Athens to keep an eye
on Claudine. Although she loved her cosusin, she realised that she would make a
selfish princess and a terrible queen. Dressing as a boy, so Claudine wouldn't
recognise her; she applied for a Security-Guard job at the pagent. She didn't need
Claudine thinking that was after the prince.

During her time off, she would practise with her bow and arrow. She could hit the
bullseye almost every time; near, far, still or moving; perfect every time.

The prince noticed her practising, and was glad to have such a capeable security
guard. He decided to ask the guard to come on a dragon hunting quest later in the
year, but for now his thoughts were upon the girl in his dreams and the Princess
Pagent. He wondered if he'd find her.

Each time he would get close to the securuty-guard to ask if "he" wanted to practise
with him, Deborah dissapeared.

The day before the pagent ended, Micheal noticed Deborah practising again, now was
his chance to invite "him" on a Dragon Hunt. As he got closer, a puff of wind blew off
Deborah's hat and the prince realised the security-guard was a girl. He picked up the
hat and brought it to it's owner; he noticed her vivid green eyes and freckles, just like
the girl in his dreams.

She thanked him for the hat, made an excuse and dissapeared. Micheael was left
wondering how she got away so fast and why she was dressed as a boy. He followed
her at a distance, to see where she would go and was surprised to see her going into
one of the pagent contestant's dressing room.

Deborah had one chance, she slipped her Soul-Mirror into Claudine's handbag, and
crept out of the room.

Claudine, quickly checked her appearance, in the big mirror "Beautiful" she said as she
left her dressing room, grabing her handbag and drinking her last drops of dragon's
tears, they sure were bitter without the juice and burnt on the way down.

When the prince bumped into Deborah again, she was dressed as a Security-Guard.
He asked for her real name, and she told him it was Deborah. But Someone called him
before he could ask her any more questions. However, before he went, he told her
that she must change back into a dress and report to Anastasia pronto.

After a discussion with his cousins, Michael declared that he had one more test for
the girls and the winner would become his bride.

"Well he can make me get into a dress and he can even command me to join the
archery competition," thought a relieved Deborah as she finished her interview with
Anastasia. "It went quite well; better than I expected, really" she recounted as she
dressed in the most hiddeous skirt and (and not matching) top she could find
available, she still worried about Claudine ..."but he said nothing about what else I
could wear" came a wicked afterthought... remembering her discuise kit she added
some pimples and a wart to her face and a hat to keep her hair out of the way.
"Perfcect, this should do it"... as she hurried to the target range.

Nobody was more surpried than Deborah when the prince announced her as the
winner of the Princess Pagent. "I didn't even enter, how could I have won?" she
puzzled. Later Michael told her of the dream he had and how he wanted a wife who
could hold her own in a dragon fight.

Together they made plans to find her parents, realising Claudine was old enough to
look after herself.

Claudine was so upset, that she had lost the pagent to an "ugly girl"... she wondered
if it was her hair. She got out the mirror in her handbag and screamed at the hideous
face she saw. In her anger, she threw the mirror against the wall shattering it into
tinsy pieces.

Deborah, however swept up the peices and the fairies restored it at her wedding, for
that was the only gift she wanted.

Dominique and Gabriel
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in
your life

Winston Churchill
King cooper and Queen Jacinta were delighted to receive the three fairies Ana, Belinda
and Kathléna who had come to bless their two babies, Jacques and Dominique.
The King and Queen, thanked the fairies, gave them gifts asked their advice on a few
pressing matters involving the Kingdom of France and hugged them goodbye, wishing
them a safe journey.
Jacques and Dominique, grew up to be very good friends, until they became teenagers.
Dominique had become friends with Jacoba. Jacques could never quite decide why,
but he just didn't trust her.
Dominique was not interested in what her brother had to say about Jacoba. Jacoba,
stood up for her when others were mean to her. Sure, when Jacoba was around she
felt herself being pressured into doing things she would not normally do, snubbing
people Jacoba thought were beneath them, lying, playing nasty pranks on people and
laughing at them when they were upset "Can't cake a joke" they'd snigger.
But whenever they would get into trouble, Jacoba would always find a way to blame
Dominique. Dominique began to realise that her brother was right, Jacoba was not a
good friend for her and she hated the way she behaved around Jacoba.
Dominique decided to change her behaviour and change her friends. Jacoba started to
like Dominique less when she realised that she couldn't boss her around anymore.
It was difficult at first to make friends, as people did not trust her much. But she
worked hard at becoming a good friend. Her Dad used to encourage her telling her
"To have a friend you need to be a friend".
Cara and Cherie became her two closest friends. She realised that her brother had
wisdom about people and began to listen to his advice about friends. She found that
she didn't have to make other people sad to be happy. People stopped being mean to
her when she was nice to them.
She missed Jacques when he went away and was very sad on their 22nd birthday when
she didn't see him at all. When all her friends had gone home from the slumber party
she held; Sir Dimmik began to visit her.
Jacques had warned her not to trust him, and when he asked her to marry him, she
said "No!"
"If I cannot marry you, NOBODY shall!" he screamed as he put her into a tower, which
had not only a purple dragon guarding it, but a moat filled with baby crocodiles
around it.
The dragon tried to eat her, but she was faster. She grabbed her mirror and reflected
sunlight with it into the dragon's eyes. The dragon screamed and she pushed him out
the window, and he flew away as she shut the glass.
Relieved that the dragon was gone, the princess started to wonder how she could
get around the baby crocodiles.
About two weeks later, she was out of ideas. She noticed a boat coming across the
moat and a man rock-climbing to the window. Fearing at first that it was Sir Dimmik
again, she thought fast grabbing her bow and arrows. As she tried to get a good aim
she realised it was Prince Gabe, and opened the window wider for him to jump in.
He walked over to her, tugging on her hair,
"Ouch!"
"Sorry, Princess Dominique, do you want to get out of here?"
"Do I ever"
They put on the harnesses and ropes and absailed to the bottom of the tower where
the captain was waiting to help them into the boat.
Aboard the boat, Gabe mentioned that he was surprised to find no dragon and
impressed when the princess told him of how she got rid of it. He apologised again
for the hair pulling and told her about his dealings with Jacoba, now known as Jacoba
Piggy...
Gabe had set out a few months ago to rescue a princess and marry her. While he was
sleeping, the map which Lord Forest and Princess Cara sent him to find Princess
Dominique, was switched by Jacoba Piggy as a consequence, he arrived at the wrong
tower.
He battled the green dragon (a dragon which causes the people around it to be very
sick) and entered the tower. He thought he saw Dominique, but upon talking to her
realised there was something not quite right. She kicked the kitten that was in the
corner of the room.
Gabe realised that it could not be Dominique, as she was gifted with a soft heart and
would never be so cruel to animals. So he went closer and pulled the lady's hair...
Ready to tell her, "How do you like that" when the wig fell off and he realised that it
was Jacoba Piggy.
"Jacoba! I will never marry you" he exclaimed
"He he he he heeee that's what Prince Jacques said, right before I turned him into a
frog; The same way I am going to turn YOU into a PIG"
But Gabe was quick with his shield, Zavier, and as she said Pig the curse bounced off
his shiled and back onto her and she turned into a pig.
Gabe found a Pig farmer to look after Jacoba the pig and a sailor offered to find the
owner of the kitten.
"So the good news is that your brother did not marry Jacoba, but the bad news was
that she turned him into a frog. I'd like to help you look for him"
Captain Benedict replied, "Jacques is quite safe, he's engaged to Princess Cherie and
both are waiting for you in Paris, I have been aboard the De Colores last fortnight for
the journey to New Caledonia".
Gabe asked the princess to marry him and there was a double wedding, the
celebrations lasting a month, not too long later, in Paris.

Lord Forest recovers his temper
Even if you are right; if you lose your temper;
you lose.

When Lord Forest was a baby, the three fairies, Kathléna, Ana and Belinda, did not
come to his cradle or that of his identical twin brother, Sir Dimmik. They were not
invited.
They were very polite fairies, so they stayed away.
They were not invited either, when Jacoba, their younger sister was born. The
children's parents did not believe in dragons, and thought that the fairies were only
after their money.
Lord Forest, Sir Dimmik and Jacoba (nick-named Jacoba Piggy) grew up selfish,
unkind and nasty. Like their parents, they did not have many friends, didn't really
want friends, unless they could manipulate them.
Lord Forest, was a very talented archer, in fact he was the second best archer in
Europe. That was until he put his competition, Prince Matteo into an enchanted sleep,
in a secret room of a deserted tower. He was very desperate to win the archery
competition that year, and the next.
Sir Dimmik and Lord Forest were each determined to marry a princess. However no
princess would agree to wed them as they were manipulative, untruthful and had very
nasty tempers, so the brothers would put the princesses into towers until they
changed their minds (or escaped).
The last princess that Lord Forest put into a tower was Princess Bella of Italy. Each
day he would ride to the tower, and ask her if she had changed her mind. Everyday
she would reply "Lord Forest I will never marry you!"
"Well stay there forever!" He would yell in reply
On the third day, he had come to check on the princess, he realised that Bella and
Matteo were escaping and he was very angry. So angry that he did something in his
anger that he truly regretted later; He pulled the hair and beard of Prince Matteo and
the prince fell from the window of the tower.
Fortunately for the prince (and not so lucky for Lord Forest) the prince landed on top
of him and the prince and princess took off on his horse.
Prince Matteo and Princess Bella called an ambulance for Lord Forest, when they
reached the safety of a nearby village.
When Lord Forest, was in hospital, he realised that he could not ever be truly happy if
he kept losing his temper. The hospital chaplain, who came to visit him, suggested
that he participate in an anger management course through Salvatore College. He
enjoyed the courses so much, that he took some dragon-fighting classes too and
was quite talented with not only a bow and arrow but a sword and shield.
During his anger management course, Lord Forest wrote apology notes to all the
people he had done nasty things to including Princess Bella and Prince Matteo.
When he graduated from Salvatore College, he decided to go and rescue the
princesses his brother had put into towers. He made some inquiries and found that
Princess Cara, Bella's younger sister, was in a tower with a purple dragon guarding
her.
Dragon fighters are always prepared, learning a thing or two from Princess Bella,
when Lord Forest arrived at the tower; he slipped some sleeping tablets into the
dragon's food. When the dragon fell asleep, he tiptoed carefully past it (dragons'
snore, when they sleep and breathe fire) up into the tower.
When he arrived at the top, Princess Cara didn't recognise him at first as his face had
changed from angry to happy. He asked her if she wanted to get out of here, to which
she replied "Yes".
They tiptoed passed the dragon and ran for their lives to the next town. When she
realised it was Lord Forest, Princess Cara was very surprised and, invited him to
dinner with her family to say thanks for the rescue.
Princess Cara's family noticed the positive changes in Lord Forest and complimented
him on his calm temper and nice manners. Forest and Cara would practise dragon
fighting techniques and together, they became sharper.
When Lord Forest told Cara of his desire to fight dragons and rescue more people, she
really wanted to go with him. So he asked her parents for permission to marry the
princess. Cara's parents said "Lord Forest, we would not have liked you to marry Bella,
but you have proved to us that you have changed and nothing would give us greater
pleasure than to see you married to Cara".

Claudine and Sir Dimmik
Claudine went into her house and stayed there for 3 months, until a wand arrived in
the mail for her, from Jacoba Piggy's parents who heard of her predicament. They had
read her parent's book, "Save your money and be happy" and thought since Jacoba no
longer had use for it, perhaps Claudine could find it useful. They still didn't believe in
dragons, but still believed that the fairies only wanted your money.
Using the wand, Claudine made herself beautiful again. She decided it was time to
marry a prince. I'm not going to impersonate another princess, but invent one she
decided. Princess Melanie was her alias. It wasn't long until she caught the eye of the
handsome Prince Dimmik. she was flattered when he sent her chocloates, roses and
even jewelery.
Of course, we know that Dimmik was not a prince, and Melanie was not a princess...
But Dimmik and Claudine were so excited to marry royalty they dicided to get married
within a week, so that their partner could not change their mind and no one else
could interfere.
Claudine, thought their small wedding was incredibly romantic, and Dimmik was
happy that he finally married a princess.
The happy couple had been married a week when they realised that they had been
deceived. Happiness vanished leaving wrath and hatered in it's wake. Claudine and
Dimmik could not be in the same house together without fighting, in fact they could
not stant to be even be in the same town or country, such was their hatered of
eachother.
Dimmik went to a tower in Germany and Claudine went to live on a mountain top in
Russia. They would send eachother nasty gifts; for his birthday Claudine sent Dimmik
100 rats teeth, He sent her 50 dired toad's warts for Christmas, She sent him
Chocolate covered Cocroaches for Easter so he sent her Bubble bath made from
dragon's spit when it was her birthday. This cycle continues to this day, each trying
to out-gross the other.

The legend of Silly Lizzy
Sympathy is addictive you crave it like a drug; Beware the overly Sympathetic...
Sympathy is never Ever FREE.

Elizabeth DeValli had 2 wonderful parents and two sisters. Lizzy, as she was often
called in her childhood, was given the gift of a good imagination by the wise fairy
Kathléna. She spent most of her days dreaming of a better life. What Lizzy was yet
to understand was how good her life really was and how many blessings there were
enriching her life that she overlooked everyday.
Things like enough food to eat, a nice warm bed, a house to keep out the cold (yes,
even though she had to share her room) clean drinking water and air. Lizzy was not a
bad person, she just did not realise how many good things she had in her life that she
could be thankful for.
When Lizzy would get in to trouble for fighting with her sisters, she would go off and
sulk, in her tree house, saying to anyone who would listen... "It's not fair! My sisters
always pick on me, if I had been given nicer sisters, we wouldn't be having this
problem" she conveniently forgot the ways she used to provoke them by hiding their
toys, and playing childish tricks on them, that made them feel ridiculous.
When she did not do well in her tests at school she would blame it on not having been
given smarter brains... However her teachers would often catch her staring out of the
window: day-dreaming. They would say "Lizzy are you working?"
"Yes," Lizzy would tersely reply, annoyed about having her story interrupted.
When Lizzy became older she used to dream of a knight riding along on his palomino
horse and rescuing her from her nasty family, and boring life. In fact she was so busy
dreaming one day as she was out riding her bay horse, Brontes, that she didn't see
that a blue dragon had appeared in front the horse and scared him. Brontes bolted.
Lizzy lost her seat landing on the hard ground. She didn't see that the dragon had
horse for dinner. In fact, she didn't see anything for almost an hour.
She woke up in a warm bed in a strange house with a handsome man who introduced
himself as Ralph-Rae and told her that her horse had run off and it was lucky she fell,
and he rescued her, as the horse was heading for a cliff. Lizzy was sad about losing
her horse, she cried and Ralph-Rae gave her red medicine called Sympathy, it tasted
very nice and would make her feel better for a time, but eventually, she would feel
sad again. In fact whenever Lizzy would complain, Ralph-Rae would always have
plenty of Sympathy ready for her. What she didn't know, was that all of her
complaining was making his pet blue dragon bigger, and the bigger the dragon grew,
the more discontent Lizzy became.
The other thing that Lizzy definitely did not realise was that Ralph-Rae was preparing
to make her a dragon's dinner very soon. He put her in his dungeon and everyday he
would check on her. When she cried and told him that she thought he was her friend,
he laughed coldly and told her about the other girls who thought that too and he told
her that they ended up the same place that she was going... Dragon's Belly
"Wa Ha Ha Ha Ho" he laughed loudly as Lizzy cried.
Lizzy started to realise, that her life at home had been pretty good compared to the
one she had now. She started to miss her family, and thought that if she ever got out
of here, she would love to see them again, even for a moment. She wanted to
apologise for taking them for granted.
She started to be thankful for her family, and as she became thankful, the dragon
started to get smaller.
Ralph-Rae was worried about his pet and went to get some dragon medicine, from
the door-to-door salesman who came to the house, the next day.
While the salesman was showing his medicines to Ralph-Rae, three Dragon-fighters
crept past him in an effort to find the trapped Lizzy. Princess Cara, was ready with
the Salt that she flung at the dragon. The salt hit him as he flew away, but his cry
alerted Ralph-Rae.
Prince Michael (the peddler) was ready for him, telling Ralph-Rae that it sounded like
he really needed a lot of this one pointing to the big barrel, of a greenish vomit
looking medicine. Naming a very exorbitant price, he pointed out that the dragon may
not live without it. So Ralph-Rae went out to his well (the secret hiding place, his aunt
had for all her gold, which she didn't need any more) to purchase the medicine.
The dragon-fighters went through the house looking for Lizzy, Deborah found her
first and untied her, while Lord Forest carried her out to the carriage which was
waiting.
She and Cara were waiting with the ropes, ready to tie up Ralph-Rae. When he
returned, they locked him in his dungeon with the "dragon medicine" which was full
of salt... very bad for dragons.
When Ralph-Rae realised that he had been tricked he was very Angry, and began
yelling, screaming and swearing. Lord Forest told him that he should do something
about his temper.
Deborah tipped out his entire stock of Sympathy medicine saying, "You won't be
requiring this anymore, Ralph-Rae".
The four Dragon fighters took Lizzy to hospital where she recovered from her injuries.
Cara and Deborah visited her each day and from talking with them, she realised that
she had some changes to make.
She decided that she needed to go back to Jae School, this time she put in a whole lot
more effort and had good enough grades to go to Salvatore College. She was no
longer silly anymore and went by her whole name Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, was careful about the friends she made, realising that she did not need
people's sympathy to be happy, she set about to be a friend and she found that she
now had many friends. Instead of trying to be rescued, she decided to help people
who needed it. She used her imagination in more suitable ways, such as the school
drama club and eventually, she became a very much loved, Jae School teacher.
Ralph-Rae and the Dragon
Ralph-Rae lived with his aunt, Marigold and brother Aaron (pronounced Air-Ran) for
as long as he could remember. His aunt was quite cold and nasty to both her
nephews and never let them forget what a burden they were for her and how great
she thought she was for looking after them all these years. She made them go to
school in raggy clothes and never gave the boys enough food to eat. Aaron was quite
mean to the other students and Ralph-Rae used to pretend he was going to school,
but would sneak off to the near-by forest. He didn't really fool Aunt Marigold, but she
didn't care as long as he was out of her hair.
One day when he was fishing in the creek, he noticed a shiny blue thing beside the
water in the long grass. Thinking it might be a huge easter egg, he went closer to
take a look. He saw a sleeping baby dragon, it woke up as he went closer. It looked
so tiny and harmless, he decided to keep it. He put it into his school bag for the trip
home and snuck it into his room, making a bed for him he said goodbye and went
back for his fishing gear.
While he was gone, Aaron arrived home and Aunt Marigold began to complain to him
about her sore back, that no one appreciates the work she does and how cold the
whether was. He went out to chop some fire wood, just to get some peace.
Ralph-Rae was surprised to see his dragon looking much healthier when he arrived
back in his room. He thought it must have been the fish he'd shared with his pet and
the rest he got in a comfy bed. The longer the dragon stayed with Ralph-Rae the
healthier he seemed to grow. The dragon would tell him stories as he went to sleep at
night, sometimes they would give him nightmares but as it was Ralph-Rae's turn to
light the fire every morning, his dragon would help.
One day, the dragon had grown so big he couln't be pushed out of the window to
spend the day with Ralph-Rae at the creek in the forest. Waving goodbye Ralph-Rae
promised to bring back lots of fish to share, that he would catch toay.
When the boys arrived home, the dragon had grown even bigger, it had to duck to get
through the door of Ralph-Rae's room and Aunt Marigold was nowhere to be found.
They had fish for dinner and wondered where their aunt was, but enjoyed the break
from her whinging and nagging.
When they went to bed that night, the dragon told Ralph-Rae that he had eaten
Marigold, and that he had eaten several hunderd people in his life, "Dragon's quite like
humans".
Aaron told Ralph-Rae that he'd decided to become a sailor when he found out that
Aunt Marigold was not coming back, by sailor, he meant pirate, but didn't want to tell
that to his brother. Ralph-Rae decided to stay at the house with his dragon.
A few months passed and Ralph-Rae became concerned as he realised his dragon had
stopped growing. He thought that the fish he was catching just were not enough
anymore, he had not been worried about the dragon eating him though...

He reflected as he was trapped in his dungeon, covered in green sludge. He wished
his friend would come back and rescue him. The dragon did come back that night, he
was hungry for another human dinner. He broke down the door and he drooled as he
started to come into the dungeon. Telling Ralph-Rae that he hoped he'd taste as good
as his aunt did.
"What?! I thought you were my Friend"
"No little mate, humans are food"
"But I helped you, I gave you somewhere to stay, I gave you things to eat"
"Am I supposed to say 'Thank-you'?" He said with a wicked laugh. "Dragons can take
care of themselves". The blue dragon sneered as he walked closer, almost slipping on
his drool.
What he didn't notice was a puddle of "dragon medicine" as his foot stepped on it
"AHHHHH!" Bellowed the dragon "SALT!" I HATE Salt!"
He began to shrink, until he became a baby again and flew out of house, to wash the
salt off before he vanished in a puff of smoke.

"I'm sorry but you had to see that, there is no way we would have left you to starve."
said a man whose face was in shadow, as he walked closer, he continued; "However,
if we let you go this afternoon, the dragon would have eaten you." He began to untie
the ropes; "You hear the stories, Dragons are not friends but they are tricky. My
brother, sister and I grew up not believing in dragons at all; what a shock I got. My
sister was deceived as you were, she thought they were friends too, but she was
turned into a pig while playing with a wand they gave her".
"Jacoba Piggy is your sister?" I thought that was just a myth.
"Nope, unfortunately for her. Here's some food, you've had a long day" He said
opening his lunch box, to reveal some chicken, pink-lady apples and sandwiches,
which were devoured in just a few bites.
Lord Forest continued to talk with Ralph-Rae and encouraged him to go back to
school. He listened while Ralph-Rae told him how hard he found school, kids teasing
him and lessons were challenging.
"My wife's parents, Thane and Brianna, will be happy to look after you while you are
studying, they are pretty good people. They have been a little lonely since Bella, their
older daughter, married Matteo and Cara and I travel a lot, fighting dragons"
Ralph-Rae did quite well at Jae school this time, and continued his study by going to
Salvatore College. He lived up to his name "Wolf in sheep's clothing" but this time, he
was dangerous to the dragons. He was fantastic at hiding, and could hit the targets
from unexpected places. Although others were better in competitions, Ralph-Rae was
better in the dragon fights.

Elizabeth, Antoinette and Rachael
Once there were three princesses, Antoinette, Elizabeth and Rachael. You would not
have picked them for sisters except for one thing- their laugh. Although they loved
each other dearly, they were as different in nature as they were in looks.
Elizabeth had red hair and green eyes, Antoinette had blonde hair and brown eyes, and
their middle sister, Rachael, had raven black hair and striking blue eyes.
Each of the sisters attended Jae-School but only Antoinette and Elizabeth went on to
Salvatore College. Rachael was not very interested in fighting dragons. She hoped that
the she could marry a prince who would do all the fighting for her.
Rachael was beautiful, with a fair complexion and attracted many princes- some nice,
some handsome some not so nice... It seemed that the worse the princes were, the
more Rachael was attracted to them. At first her sisters would try to warn her that
the princes were not all that they seemed, but it just made Rachael angry, so they
stopped.
While Rachael was entertaining the knights, her sisters were polishing their swords,
practising extinguishing flaming arrows with their shields and fighting off dragons
that had threatened the family. Sooner or later, as they worked, the bad knights
would drop away.
One day another wise princess, Bella, told Elizabeth about a dagger she had which
was particularly effective in keeping dragons away from her family. Elizabeth liked it
so much that she had one made for herself, one for her sisters and several for her
friends.
She practised with the dagger and won many small victories. Her friends loved the
daggers she had gifted them and told her of the huge dragons they had scared off
with them. Elizabeth was so excited that on the day of her sister's wedding. she gave
to Rachael and Philipe the dagger she had saved all her money to buy.
Alas, Rachael and her husband did not see the value of the dagger. Sometimes,
dragons would come to their new house; Rachael would cry "Help! Help!" someone
would always come to her rescue. Sometimes her parents King Hayden and Queen
Shaina, sometimes her sisters or a friend, other times her husband... when he was
not busy riding his horse and telling her that he was the boss.
One day Elizabeth asked Rachael if she liked the dagger that she had sacrificed to get
her. To which Rachael replied that it really was a useless gift for her and that they
really had no use for it. Elizabeth swallowed back the tears and waves of
disappointment rolled through her stomach and onto her face, so she hung her head
and let her hair mask her disappointed countenance.
She never mentioned again how great she thought the dagger was to Rachael.
Eventually she began to wonder if it was all a trick and started to use it less. She
wondered when it would be her turn to have a dragon-fighting partner... When he
comes, I'll use it again she compromised. The dragons were delighted.
Sometimes one of her friends would tell her how fantastic the dagger was that she
had given them. She'd nod and smile- but think back to the one person who did not
treasure her gift... and she'd persuaded herself that when her dragon-fighting partner
came along... they'd show Rachael and Philipe how great the dagger really was.
One day two or three Mud-brown dragons crept over to Racheal and Phlipe's house
attacking from all sides they breathed fire on the castle and burned it to pieces.
Prince Philipe blamed Rachael and went back to his kingdom.
But Elizabeth remembered the dagger she had treasured so long ago. She knew that it
was possible to rebuild the castle, and it could be better than it was before, she knew
of others it had worked for... others who loved the dagger.
It was hard work but the family restored the Castle, Prince Philipe had been in his
parents Kingdom about a month when King Daniel and Queen Aleesha sent him back
to help re-build the castle, they had been shocked by this tragedy and told him that
his behaviour in leaving was most inappropriate for a prince, even his sister Isabelle,
and brother Ramon came to help. They told him that this time, he had to be more
careful to keep the dragons away, and he could not do that in Germany, when his
castle was in Malta. It was not just left to Rachael and her family to rebuild the castle.
Leandros, Benedict Ralph-Rae and even Aaron (who had been aboard the De Colores
for the past 6 months) came to help as Salvatore College was on holidays.
Philipe and Rachael went to Salvatore College when they finished restoring their house,
they now saw the value in Dragon-Fighting classes, realising that keeping dragons
away benefits everyone. Rachel found her dagger and used it very effectively. Philipe
found he was good at shooting arrows; but he especially liked jousting, because he
could do it riding his horse. He had lots of ability although, in the past had rarely used
it. He was happy to scrape a pass, if it did not interfere with his horse-racing and he
relied on his charm to get him where he wanted to go.

Arrogant Aaron becomes Assertive
Aaron (pronounded Air-ran) was 11 months old when he became a big brother. No
faries were invited to his cradle or Ralph-Rae's. His parents had fancied themselves
too busy. What they hadn't realised was a yellow dragon had moved into the forest
near them. The busier they seemed, the bigger he got, until one day they both
became sick. What nobody knew at the time was that the dragon had humans for
dinner, as the babies were taken to their Aunt Marigold to care for.
Marigold, was Old. Like the flower she was named after, she was cruel and jealosy
ruled her life. Unfortuntely for Aaron, he became very much like his Aunt. When he
first went to school, he was so nasty and dommineering, that most of the students
thought they would prefer to fight a real dragon than sit beside him in class and play
with him at lunch.
He was Always picking fights, being rude everybody including the teachers and
getting everybody assigned more homework. He had this way of making you feel
stupid if you made a mistake, and wicked if you disagreed with him. He was his own
worst enemy.
He wished he could avoid school, as Ralph-Rae did, but he found fishing boring. He
decided he'd rather go to school and make people as miserable as he felt.
Aunt Marigold constantly complained and made him work even when he was really
tired. While he was working he dreamed of a life where no one could tell him what to
do... He dreamed of becoming a pirate.
He rolled his eyes as he thought "She always said she did Everything"... but he had
trouble finding out what the everything she did for them was. "As far as I can tell she
sits on the sofa all day"...
One day, he came home and she was gone. The next morning when Ralph-Rae told
him she had died, he decided to grab his chance and join the pirates.
Being a pirate was not as much fun as he thought it would be. Instead of having a
grumpy aunt tell him what to do all the time, he had a ship load of pirates instead.
Pirates would steal from each other and he was constantly having to hide his money.
One day he got a job on the De Colores, simply because he wanted to go home and
that's where that ship was heading. Captian Benedict was not like the other captians
he had met, nor was the crew, he found out. They didn't try to humiliate him and
steal from him. They expected him to work hard, but they never expected the
impossible. If he was sick, they allowed him to get better before making him work
hard again.
One day he asked them why they were different and Leandros, the first mate, told
him about Jesus. He told him of being orphaned and raised by his Aunt Beth and Uncle
Samuel. They were good people, but he just felt like a burden to them. He was angry
at the sharks for eating his family, and angry at many people some he had never even
met.
But the sailors on the de Colores had told him of Jesus a few years ago, and even
though he was back at college, he'd come along on his holdays to give some of the
other sailors a break.
Aaron had much to ponder. When the ship docked and Leandros asked if he would
like to come and help re-build some castle that the dragons destroyed, he was eager.
Especially when he was told of how well they could cook. He was quite sick of
seafood, and ship food.
When Philippe and Rachael decided to go back to college, Aaron thought he might give
it a go too.
There was something about Aaron this time that the other students recognised. They
were not afraid of him anymore. It was beneficial to have him on their team. He was a
great hunter. He was very good at scaring the dragons and "persuding" them to go,
with words and then with his sword.

Salvatore College Practicum
Dragon-fighters in training need to practise, so in their final year of Salvatore College,
students are required to go on a trek to fight dragons and learn from experts the fine
art of what to do and more importantly, what not to do when fighting dragons.
The class was split into two teams; the Ehuds who were Alessandro, Leandros,
Antionette, Anastasia, Isabell and Ramon
And the Zerubbabels who were Elizabeth, Rachel, Philipe, Aaron and Ralph-Rae.
Both teams were headed towards Tres-cartorse, a city in the Siberian desert. Each
team was handed a map with different directions to the same place, though they
would face different obsticles, they should arrive at the same time. The Ehuds were
first taken through the town of Dunka, Germany.
When they arrived in Dunka, having noticed that the city was covered in fog (dragons
are afraid of sunight and prefer to cover the town in fog to party) there was such a
sight to be seen, people were sleeping on the roads, telling each other how
comfortable their beds were, eating rubbish from the tip saying how yummy the food
was, giving their dogs hay to eat and horses meat to eat, trying to fly off their rooves
with a feather on each hand saying "Tweet tweet".
"What makes people behave so crazy?" wondered Ramon
"Light-Brown dragons" repied the girls
"let's get them" said the guys.
Armed with bows, arrows, swords and salt they tracked the dragons down one by
one.
They had to do some fast talking, at one stage a man had a small dragon that he was
patting, saying "nice pony"
Allessandro said "Oooh what's his name?" pretendeing to go over and pat it as he
sprinkled salt on the animal again this time there was a puff of smoke and it turned
into an egg.
As they were putting the egg onto the buggie, another dragon flew over and made off
with the egg, earning an arrow in it's side it flew away shrinking and shreaking, but
landed far enough from Dunka to become less of a problem.
Another lady had a snake that she was trying to use as a rope to tie some things
together with. It was no use reasoning with her, but Anastasia was quick with her
sword, and offering her the use of her sash as a replacement rope.
The more the dragon-fighters worked; the thiner the fog became, until finally there
was too much sunlight for the dragons to be happy and they flew away in terror.
When the fog cleared, the people wondered what they were doing at the dump, on the
roof and laying on the road. When the dragon-fighters told them about the brown
dragons, they thanked them for fighting them and offered them a place to stay for
the night (yes a real bed in a house) and food (not from the dump) for the journey.
Many people in the town of Dunka could not remember the silly things that they had
been doing when the dragons were there the day before. "How did I lose my... Where
did that... come from?" they wondered.
The team reminded the people of Dunka that the best way to prevent a dragon attack
again was to use salt, light and songs about Jesus before they went on their way the
next day, leaving the people repairing the damage from the dragon attack.

The Zerubbabels began their mission by going through the Village of schneider. From
a distance, they noticed the thick fog covering the town and getting closer, seeing
everyone sick, they realsed they were dealing with a green dragon or three.
Philipe was excited that he had the chance to lance a dragon, targeting the biggest
one; he, Elizabeth and Aaron rode their horses at the dragon from all sides, allowing
Philpe the leverage he needed, it was hard work, but eventually the dragon left taking
a lot of fog with him.
Rachel and Ralph-Rae were busy with the salt tipped bows, which left the smaller
dragons shrinking as they flew away, taking the disease and rest of the fog with
them.
The team helped the village to recover, which was a much easier job now the dragons
had gone, though some were still weak, the people were feeling much better. They
offered them a place to rest and gave them yummy food. The people in village of
schneider felt so much better by that evening that they had a huge party that night
with plenty of dancing, salty foods and songs about Jesus. By the time the party was
over everyone was well again, and not even tired anymore.
The next day the Zerubbabels were on their way to meet the Ehud team in the Once
(said oon-say) Inn. The 9 trainee dragon fighters met and talked of their quests. Cara
and Lord Forest were there to answer their questions and make sure that they were all
ok from the journey. They had worked so hard they were allowed a break before
continuing on their quest.
New maps were given to each team and they parted again with many hugs, high-fives
and "We'll see you soon's".
This time they set off on winged horses, usually only the best dragon fighters are
given the honour of riding these animals. As Salvatore College produces the finest
dragon-fighters it is realised that they need to know how to use their helpers well.
They can make a trip of 2 days by flight; what could take 2 weeks on the ground.
Being in the air gives the rider a different perspective; the teams could see dragons
flying over the towns of Seven and Paz and stopped to help.
As the Ehuds drew closer to the town of Seven, they could see the Yellow dragons
more clearly. Seven was in Chaos, the people were so greedy. They were taking each
others money, some were lying down because they couldn't walk as they had eaten so
much food. When people were buying things they were giving the person some fake
money in with the real money and the sellers were putting less things in than they
were charging for. People had special pockets sewen into their colthes so that they
could hear their money jingle as they walked. People didn't trust each other very much
and prefered to stay home and count their money then hang with friends.
It was hard work to get rid of the dragons, as the people of Seven thought that they
owned them too, what they didn't know was that eating so much food and wearing
your money makes it harder to run away when the dragons tried to eat them. The
dragons were happy to let the people think they owned them, because that just kept
the food they liked to eat that much closer.
When the dragons were gone and the fog was lifted, the people of Seven were very
sorry for their greedy behaviour. They decided to share their food and money with
children the Dragon-fighters told them of, in other countries who no longer had any
parents. Some of the people of Seven deceided to take the money to the people who
were helping the children and see if there was anything they could do to help too.
The Ehuds were proud of the progress the people of Seven had made, and told them
to keep being generous. Also reminding them of the 3 ways to fight dragons, they
promised to come back and visit again when they had finished College.

The Zerubbabels found that the town of Paz was not very peaceful with Purple
dragons flying about making trouble. People were throwing things, yelling, destroying
property, swearing, kicking and hurting each other. Several times the dragon-fighters
had to duck to avoid objects being hurled. Rachael found her sheild handy for
dodging junk as well as dragon fire. Philipe was disapointed that he couldn't use his
lance and dodge the junk at the same time, so the team used many arrows dipped in
salt. They had to be careful taking aim as they only wanted to hit dragons, not the
citizens of Paz.
With the departure of each dragon, the people seemed to calm a little bit more, and
peace was restored to Paz when the fog had lifted and the last purple dragon was
gone. The Zerbbabels began helping them to restore some order to the town, so
everyone could get a decent rest that night.
As the team was leaving the next day, they reminded the people of Paz, the 3 ways to
fight dragons and encouraged them to love and show kindness to each other. "Start
by telling 3 people each day that you love them and 2 things you like about them.
Also try to do 3 kind things for other people everyday and keep a journal of who you
helped so you don't forget".
Meeitng up again in another place on the edge of the siberian Desert, they said
goodbye to their winged friends, and joined Michael and Deborah. After being given 3
days rest, they mounted their camels and went on together, to the ruined town of
Tres-Cartorse.

The town of Tres-Catorse
The town of Tres-Cartorse was founded by people who were frightened of dragons,
in their fear, they moved into the snowy desert, and built a wall around the city
hoping they would be safe. The bricks they used were said to be fire proof and the
walls were high to prevent dragons flying in, there was barbed wire above them.
The city of Tres-Cartorse was cold and dark because of the walls, feeling more like a
gaol than a home and though the people felt relatively safe, there was not much cheer.
They made rules for themselves, believing that the dragons were attracted to shiny
things, flying things and eggs; anything that was shiney, could fly and layed eggs
were outlawed. Sometimes the people missed scrambled eggs and other things made
with eggs, like cake and Pavlova but, they did not dare mention it as they knew they
would be made to leave the city. The dragons were delighted and grew stronger, as
they love fear in humans, and when a person is hiding they cannot effectively help
others... "we can pick on more people unhindered... more food for us" they laughed
Every Tres-Cartorseite was made to wear wooden jewelery as they believed that wood
repels dragons, the more wood you could wear, the higher your status in the
community.
The Tres-Cartorseite community was not much interested in helping people terrorised
by dragons because "If you only followed our rules, there wouldn't be a dragon
problem, they reasoned".
Only people who had permission from the elders of the community could live in
Tres-Cartorse. Certainly no one who had priates in their family, Deffinately nobody
who was once a pirate and even dragon fighters were discouraged as they were
considered extreem and trouble makers.
The Tres-Cartorseites believed themselves safe from dragons, and did not see the
need to practise dragon fighting, they became fat and uncoridnated, so when 50
hungary dragons attacked from all sides, they didn't have a chance.
A few escaped but most of the city was destroyed. The dragons had such a merry
time, "Hahahaa fire proof walls; dragon PROOF city All you can eat Buffet for me" they
said licking their lips and drooling pools of saliva.
It was found out later, that Claudine's parents had been chased to the city by a
hungary dragon, they were sheltered for the night, but later when they said "We don't
understand, we thought dragons were our friends," they were forced to leave. Which
worked in their favour as the dragons attacked th city the next day.
The few remaining Tres-Cartorse blamed Melaney and Demetris for the dragon attack,
"dragon-lovers, bringng them their dragons to our clean city" they muttered umong
them selves and dogmatically held to their beliefs. What they neglected to realise, was
that there were only 3 ways to fight dragons and no amount of wooden jewelery was
in the least bit beneficial. You need to practise every day to stay sharp and hiding
from dragons makes you a weaker target, giving them the advantage.
By the time Lochie and Tahnee (Deborah's parents) had reached the town of
Tres-Cartorse the dragons were leaving, so they "hepled them on their way", the
dragons flew off angry and shrinking from the salt-tiped sword wounds. Lochie and
Tahnee searched the city for survivors, but few were found. All the adults had left, by
the time they found a baby who had been left orphaned in a cellar. They named her
Una-fe and decided to keep looking for Melaney and Demetris.
Michael and Deborah arrived at the ruined city of Tres-Cartorse and were surprised to
find the whole place destroyed. Not far from the city they noticed a yellow dragon
attacking a tree, they thought that was strange. Deborah had hit her target and the
dragon left. They went to take a closer look.
They noticed a little door in the trunk when opened, revealed two begraggled
creatures who had fainted in fright. Melaney and Demetris. "My parents are going to
be happy to see you two. Lets get them back to ruined city, into one of the cellars,
there is room for them to recover there".
And recover they did. When they were able to travel, the 4 headed for home on their
stay at the inn on the edge of the desert, they were joined by 3 weary travelers who
had given up hope of seeing the people they had come to rescue alive.
What a joyous reunion they had. It was decided that the older travelers would go
home together and the newly weds would bring Una-Fe to Bella and Matteo. Which led
them to joining with Lord Forest, and Cara in rescuing a girl in a dungeon and a boy
from his "friend" the dragon... but that's another story.
The two older couples had long discussions about dragons, and dragon-fighters on
their lng trip home. Melaney and Demetrius were no longer under the illusion that
they could be friends with dragons, and decided that the best thing to to was fight
them and tell others that "dragons are not friends". They began with Claudine, (in
Siberia) but she was not ready to hear it yet, but others were and appreciated their
advice. They no longer went by the names Melaney (weak) and Demetrius (devoted to
the godess of fertility), prefering Amelia (Hard Working) and Demarco(War Like), and
they cetainly lived up to their new names.
3 years after the attack on Tres-Cartorse , The Salvatore College students arrived at
the ruined city. Learning from the mistakes of Tres-Cartorse, the students rebuilt the
city, to be used as a refuge and training centre, no more hiding from dragons in this
city. When the city was rebuilt, the students had their graduation in the place they
worked so hard at fortifying. Their parents and families were invited to see the
finished product and celebrate with them.
The Tres-Cartorseites who didn't learn their lesson moved to the sandy deserts of
Africa, which was a welcome but nasty change from the snow of Siberia. Setting up
another village they were sure was dragon proof, this time under the ground (because
dragons liked to fly) surely they would be safe under the ground... They named their
town Ostridgevale. The rules were pretty much the same as before, but the jewelery
was made out of stone, as wood was found to be an ineffective dragon deterant.
